Love one another as Jesus loved us.

Saint Mother Teresa's visit to St Laurence's College in 1981 echoed this sentiment - it was humble, without pageantry and somewhat impromptu.

It was likely that students went to school that day without realising they would be in the presence of a future Saint, listening to her address in what would become a landmark event in our College's history.

Did you know that domestic and family violence affects more than 3.6 million Australians every year?

Thank you to the St Patrick's College and St John Fisher College students and staff who braved the inclement weather for our first Darkness to Daylight walk for 2026 on Friday.

This May, we're inviting our whole community to take a stand against domestic violence. Join us at Shorncliffe Pier at 6.30am on Friday May 15, 22 and 29 as we walk in solidarity with victims and to advocate for a future free from violence.

Today marks the first anniversary of Pope Francis’ passing. After more than 12 years of faithful leadership, we remember him with gratitude, giving thanks for his enduring witness to mercy, humility and care for the poor and vulnerable. ❤️

As we remember today, take a moment to read a statement from Archbishop Shane Mackinlay here: "Pope Francis has left an extraordinary legacy for us. He was joyful, approachable, committed to simplicity, and passionate about God's mercy and love for all people, especially those who are on the peripheries. In world affairs, his clear and prophetic leadership on care for the earth, listening to the cry of the poor, and building solidarity was enormously valuable. Within the Church, he led us to focus on the Gospel, and to develop synodal ways of ensuring that all the baptised can participate and contribute to the Church's mission. As Pope Leo helps us to build on Pope Francis' leadership, we will deepen our appreciation for his wonderful contribution."
