Did you know Services Australia offers free, face-to-face help for older Australians trying to understand the aged care system?

You don’t have to go it alone—or struggle online or over the phone. At your local Services Australia service centre, staff can:
-Give you general info about aged care services
-Help you use the My Aged Care website
-Connect you with an Aged Care Specialist Officer
-Refer you to extra support if you need it

Aged care isn't one-size-fits-all.

In a recent story by The Senior, Care Connect client Ron shared how, with the support of his Care Manager, he reshaped his services to better suit his lifestyle, goals and what matters most to him.

In very welcome news, the Australian Government has announced that the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) will continue until June 2029. This means older people can keep accessing the everyday services that help them live safely, happily and independent at home .

At Care Connect, we're pleased to see this commitment to CHSP. As a provider of CHSP services in Melbourne and Sydney, we see every day how important these supports are, from transport and social support to help around the home.

This announcement provides greater certainty for older people, their families and the organisations that support them.
