Two TLC Distraction Boxes are on their way to the Emergency Department at Lismore Base Hospital.

With around 200 paediatric patients visiting the department each week, these boxes will give healthcare professionals access to distraction tools designed to reduce fear, distress and anxiety during medical procedures.

A new home and a new beginning for Aiden. 💛

Moving from Ararat to Ballarat is a big change for Aiden, who thrives on routine and has lived in the same home his entire life.

While Aiden stayed in respite, his mum made the move into their new apartment. Through the Rapid TLC Program, we provided a special “Welcome Home” pack filled with new bedding, games and comforting items to help his new space feel like home.

We also gifted Mum and Aiden a yearly membership to Ballarat Wildlife Park, giving them a special place to visit together, build new routines and create happy memories in their new community.

That’s a wrap on Taking the Mickey #14!

We’re so grateful to Middle Park FC and Bob Franklin for their incredible support in making this special night possible year after year.

A huge thank you to the amazing comics: Dave Thornton, Adam Rozenbachs, Arj Barker, Tor Snyder, Ivan Aristeguieta and Mike MacLeish for bringing the laughs and helping us make a difference for sick kids and their families.

With everyone’s support, this year’s event raised $4,115 and we couldn’t be more grateful for your support. Here’s to another year of smiles, laughter and care. 💛

Earlier this month, our Services Team had the pleasure of accompanying Aina and her family on a special TLC Ambulance trip to Gold Class!

Aina and her family of seven had their hearts set on seeing Moana on the big screen. As it was their very first trip to the movies together, we wanted to make it a truly first-class experience.

The TLC Ambulance picked the whole family up from home and whisked them away for a day filled with movies, lunch and plenty of fun at Timezone.

Afterwards, Aina’s mum shared these beautiful words with us:

“From start to finish, it was a blessing. I’m forever grateful for this wonderful journey we shared with the team. My kids were so happy, and everything was spot on. Thank you once again. I appreciate you all endlessly.”

A little Disney magic for a few very special families ✨

Recently, a handful of our TLC for Kids families experienced a night at Disney On Ice in Adelaide, creating precious memories together filled with joy, laughter and unforgettable moments.

For families experiencing the challenges that come with serious illness, having the opportunity to step away from hospital visits, appointments and everyday worries can mean so much.

We are incredibly grateful to Variety SA for making this experience possible and giving our families the opportunity to enjoy a special night out together, creating memories they will treasure.

Creating moments that matter 💛

Through the Rapid TLC Program, our team received an urgent request to help make Oliver’s 2nd birthday extra special.

Knowing that every moment was precious for Oliver and his family, we acted quickly to bring a little extra joy to his special day by arranging a petting zoo experience where Oliver could enjoy the company of some adorable animals and create beautiful memories with the people who love him most.

Happy 2nd birthday, Oliver. We are so happy to have been able to help make your day one to remember.
