We’re on a journey to support young people to find meaningful work in the care industry through our new traineeship program! Y Careers is a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to helping young people gain skills and find meaningful careers in the education and care sector. Partnering with employers, we offer well-paid traineeships and jobs supported by our Career Coaches preparing young people for sustainable and fulfilling careers. Y Careers is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and fairness in order to create a respectful, productive and safe environment. NATIONAL SKILLS WEEK IS ALMOST OVER... but we're ending it on the best note possible. 💛

This is what our first ever trainee graduate had to say about the benefits of finishing their traineeship.

This week is National Skills Week. 👏

For us, it's not just a hashtag.

It's a reminder of what we see every single day: young people showing up, learning fast, and building real careers in ECEC, OSHC, aged care and disability.

This year's theme is Life Changing. And honestly, that's not a stretch. We watch it happen. A young person starts a traineeship unsure of themselves, and six months later they're leading activities, building relationships with families, and picturing a future they couldn't quite see before.

Employers change lives too, just by saying yes to someone at the start of their career.

That's what this week is about for us. Backing the next generation into work that matters, and backing the employers who back them.

Here's to a week celebrating exactly that.
