Having my mother visit me here in Australia was one of the most emotional and meaningful moments of my life. ❤️
When I look at these pictures, I see sacrifice, strength, prayer and hard work.
There was a time when three of us were in boarding school at the same time, and even now I wonder how my parents managed it. My parents worked incredibly hard, and together they sacrificed so much to give us an education and a better future.
As children, we don’t always understand what our parents give up for us. We understand it more as we grow older.
Seeing my mother standing beside me in Australia made me think:
Mum, look how far your sacrifices have travelled.😊
My dad is no longer with us, but I still see the fruits of his hard work and sacrifice in the life I live today.
And to those whose parents are no longer here, may we continue to honour them by remembering their love, their sacrifices and the good they planted in our lives. ❤️
May we never become so successful that we forget the shoulders we stood on to get there.🙏🏾
