What a proud moment recognising the dedication of our SES volunteers!

Our annual Honours and Awards Ceremony celebrated the outstanding service of members who give countless hours to training and emergency response, often in the toughest conditions.

We were out in Maleny today promoting Get Ready Queensland and helping locals get prepared for the upcoming severe weather season.

From having an emergency kit ready to knowing your evacuation routes and staying informed, a few simple steps now can make a big difference when the unexpected happens.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and had a chat with us!

Stay prepared, stay informed and stay safe, this severe weather season.

Today, Tuesday 29 September, marks National Police Remembrance Day 💙

Members from Maleny, Caloundra and Maroochydore SES groups joined officers and staff members from across the Sunshine Coast District gathered at Kawana Surf Club this morning, honouring and paying their respects to those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

With honour they served.

🧡 R U OK? — Any Day

In the SES, we look out for each other — on the job and off it.

Sometimes a simple “Are you OK?” can make a bigger difference than we realise. Take a moment to check in with your mates, your crew, your family, your neighbours and those around you.

🗣️ Ask — Have a conversation.
👂 Listen — Be present.
🤝 Encourage — Check in and support.
🧡 Keep in touch — A small check-in can make a big difference.

You don’t need to wait- check in now

This SES Week, we’re reminded of the incredible commitment our volunteers dedicate to supporting our communities.

One of those volunteers is Gary, and we’re proud to announce that he has progressed to the rank of Field Operations Member!

Behind every SES volunteer is a strong support network of family, friends and government.

That’s why this year’s SES Week theme is ‘Ready, Together’, recognising that when we work together, we build stronger, safer and more resilient communities.

Congratulations, Gary!

Maleny SES is back on the tongs at Bunnings Caloundra! 🌭

Come on down, grab a snag, and support your local SES team.

Every sausage bought helps support our volunteers and the work we do in our community.

A proud milestone 👏

Congratulations to Bill and Joe on receiving their epaulettes and attaining the rank of Community Member - the first step in what will no doubt be a long and dedicated journey with the SES.

SES volunteers give their time to support their communities, stepping up when Queenslanders need help most. Bill and Joe now join that proud tradition of service.

Congratulations again to you both - and thank you for your commitment to serving our community.
