$5000 up for Grabs!

The $5,000 marketing package prize is remarkably uncontested so far. There has not yet been a business who’s put their hat in the ring, so it’s there for the taking! Make sure your businesses are aware of the prize package and what they need to do to enter.

Here’s a five-point refresher:

Post a 30-60 second video on Facebook or Instagram.

On meeting owners Lea and Rob, the outstanding thing you notice is their wholehearted commitment to community. Since becoming the fourth owners in 2022, they have become a vital part of the fabric of Maleny. They are also proud owners of Annie’s Books on Peregian Beach. This provides a distinct advantage as publishers send more books, knowing there is a capacity for book events at both places.
The Red Room downstairs is a home for regular author interviews.

Maleny Christmas Street Sunshine Coast Chamber Music Festival

You are warmly invited to attend a 'Town Hall Style' meeting to discuss and help plan this year’s Maleny Christmas Street Festival, to be held on Maple Street on Friday 11 December 2026.

The Chamber is passionate about creating a festival that is truly for Maleny, by Maleny. We welcome your ideas, feedback, suggestions, and input on how we can continue to grow and strengthen this much-loved community tradition.

This Town Hall-style meeting is an opportunity for local businesses, community groups, volunteers, performers, and residents to come together and help shape this year’s event.

WHERE: The Verandah Room, Maleny Community Centre, Maple Street

Bring along your best ideas, your community spirit, and any constructive feedback on how we can make this year’s festival the best one yet.

Maleny Commerce warmly invites members and the wider business community to join us for a relaxed evening of networking and connection at our next Open Door Networking event.

This special gathering will also be a soft launch for Maple Street Tea, one of Maleny’s newest businesses, giving local businesses the opportunity to explore the beautiful new store and meet the team behind it.

We’ll also be welcoming new Maleny Commerce President David Lulham from Cyber People — a great chance to say hello, connect, and hear about the vision for the Chamber moving forward.

What a cute little fella!

Keep your eyes peeled when you are visiting David Fleay’s Wildlife Park in Burleigh, and you might spot this rare bridled nail-tailed wallaby joey!

The bridled nail-tailed wallaby was thought to be extinct for more than 30 years until it was found again in Central Queensland in 1973.

Make sure you check it out and learn all about the conservation of our unique endangered marsupials!

WINDOW DRESSING COMP:

This year, Maleny businesses with a shopfront are encouraged to decorate their windows in support of the Maleny Show. Maleny Commerce is proudly sponsoring the Window Dressing Competition, with prizes totalling $300 up for grabs. The 2026 theme is “Grow It, Make It, Show It.” See below for further details. FREE ADVERTISING OF YOUR BUSINESS AT THE SHOW:

The Maleny Chamber of Commerce is also excited to announce that we will be running the Cloakroom at this year’s Maleny Agricultural Show on Friday 29 May and Saturday 30 May.

As part of this iconic community event, we are creating a dedicated space to help promote and showcase local businesses to the thousands of visitors attending across the weekend.

If your business is not exhibiting at the Show this year, this is a fantastic opportunity to still have a presence and connect with the community. The Cloakroom will be located in the old Fish and Chip Shop next to the Main Pavilion — a high-traffic location with plenty of visibility throughout the event.

We are inviting members to contribute:
• Business flyers or brochures
• Banners or signage
• Business cards or promotional material
• Small giveaways, competitions, or “showbags”
• A short description of your business for our volunteers to share with visitors

This is a simple and effective way to put your business in front of locals and visitors during one of Maleny’s biggest annual events.

To be involved, please send through your materials or information by Monday 25 May and contact Sam at [email protected] to arrange drop-off at the Showgrounds on Thursday 28 May.

We are also looking for volunteers to assist at the Cloakroom during the Show. If you would like to help support the Chamber and connect with the community, please contact Sam via the email above.
