We know the Maple Street works are having a very real impact on some of our local businesses, including the Maleny Pie Guy.

Maleny Commerce is in conversation with Council about the challenges our traders are experiencing and what can be done to minimise the disruption as much as possible.

In the meantime, we encourage locals and visitors to keep supporting our Maple Street businesses. They are open, trading and need our community behind them while these important works are underway.

Maple Street Streetscaping Update

Maleny Commerce is aware of the disruption the current Maple Street streetscaping works are causing for our local businesses, particularly with reduced parking and access affecting trade.

We understand this is a difficult period for traders and want our members to know that we are actively looking at what can be done to help minimise the impact and support businesses while the works continue.

In the meantime, we encourage everyone to keep supporting our wonderful Maple Street businesses — they’re open and would love to see you!

💛 Supporting one of our own for a very worthy cause

Our wonderful Chamber Secretary, Debra Hutchinson, gives so much of her time to support the Maleny business community in her voluntary role with the Chamber. Debra is also a Maleny Commerce Member, owning Hinterland Float and Wellness

This Thursday, Debra and her daughter are taking part in the Live Like Her Challenge 2026, sleeping in their car for the night to raise awareness and funds for The Forgotten Women — helping women over 55 who are experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

We don’t usually share individual fundraising requests, but given Debra’s generous contribution to our Chamber and community, we’d love to get behind her and help spread the word.
