TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CHANGES FROM MONDAY - October 12

Sunshine Coast Council has advised that work will resume on the northern half of the new pedestrian crossing outside the chemist on Monday 12 October, with temporary traffic changes expected for approximately two weeks.
What Businesses Need to Know

*The westbound lane of Maple Street will be closed between the Coral Street roundabout and Fig Street.

*Westbound traffic will be redirected via Coral Street.

*Teak Street, the IGA car park and Mitre 10 will remain accessible from both directions.

*Parking on the southern side of Maple Street will temporarily change to nose-in, reverse-out angled parking.

* Traffic controllers and signage will be in place, and motorists should allow extra travel time.

MALENY STREETSCAPE – FROM CONVERSATION TO ACTION!

Following a productive meeting with local businesses and Sunshine Coast Council, Maleny Commerce is calling on our business and wider community to help turn ideas into action!

We're looking for people to contribute to three focus groups:

MARKETING – Promoting Maleny as a destination.

ACTIVATIONS – Creating events, campaigns and reasons to visit, explore and shop locally.

ADVOCACY – Representing business needs throughout the streetscape works.

Some exciting ideas are already emerging, including a Maleny Tourism & Retail Trail Map, Shop Maleny & Win promotions, town trails, and a coordinated effort to promote everything our wonderful town has to offer.

NOW WE NEED PEOPLE TO HELP MAKE IT HAPPEN!

You don't need lots of spare time. Whether you can contribute ideas, skills, local knowledge, a few hours of your time or simply help spread the word, we'd love your involvement.
