• Respecting and valuing our members, staff and volunteers who work for
our organisation
• Working collaboratively with groups and individuals;
• Developing partnerships based on mutual respect;
• Creating innovative responses to poverty and disadvantage;
• Organising and delivering projects with community members;
• Advocating to local, state and commonwealth governments to

improve
services to our area;
• Sharing our resources with the wider community, particularly those who are
marginalised and disadvantaged, to improve their lifestyles;
• Making our facilities available to other groups in a spirit of cooperation;
• Providing a safe space for new groups to emerge;
• Providing the role of auspice for new and emerging groups;
• Supporting our volunteers with training and rewards to enhance their
participation with our programs; and
• Celebrating our moments of achievement, strengthening our resolve in our
moments of despair and bonding together to support each other in our
moments of struggle. The Maleny Neighbourhood Centre is proudly supported by the Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy, and the Sunshine Coast Council’s Community Partnership Funding Program.
