You can now get your hands on our Boomerang Bags from McDonalds Booksellers and Stationers in High Street Maitland 😃👐📚

Thank you to McDonalds for coming aboard to try and help save Walka's rare and range-limited Hunter River Turtles🐢🐢🐢.

The bags are only $5 and $8 each, with all proceeds going towards installing 2 turtle breeding islands on the pond at Walka.

All bags are made by local volunteers. Our labels overall mission is to (1) reduce the use of plastic, (2) reduce trees being cut down to make paper bags, and (3) support environmental sustainability projects in our local area🌳🌏♻️.

These bags are great for environmentally conscious shoppers, or to send as gifts to homesick people from Maitland. Thank you in advance for your continued support. We're making a lasting difference together ❤️

In his 2025 film ‘Ocean with David Attenborough’ he says: “I now understand the most important place on Earth is not on land, but at sea".

“If we save the sea, we save our world… I’m sure that nothing is more important”.

To save the sea, we must protect it. The best way to protect the ocean is through strong marine sanctuaries.

We wish Sir David the happiest of birthdays 💙

Thank you to Catherine from Brisbane for your generous donation of $10. She was spotted in the wild (Morpeth) carrying a Boomerang Bag from Phillip Island🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧. We got to chatting about our group in Maitland and she wanted to pay-it-foward even though I didn't have a bag on me to exchange.
