K.I.T.T.E.N. Op shop is closing for the time being as the host shop is being sold and the charity will gain a new committee an a new direction over the next few months. Your support in the past has been invaluable to our animals and we thank you all.

We have these fantastic brand new toys for sale, they are marked at around $5.00 OFF recommended Retail prices. They are not second hand cheap dog toys but beautiful toys suited for Birthdays or to hide ready for fast approaching Christmas presents.

DO NOT DUMP STUFF AT OP SHOPS;
We have been offered donation which due to being overloaded we have had to say thank you but NO. Some of this stuff we recognise when we have found it DUMPED at our back and front door.
Another box left at the front door today, I filled 3 Red bins last night with stuff we can not fit in, some good and usable, other just rubbish. Some of this stuff are torn sheets, worn out shoes, dirty underwear. IT IS YOUR PLACE TO DISPOSE RESPONSIBLY OF YOUR POSSESSIONS.
We are always grateful for those donations we can fit in but dont make us (or any other op shop) responsible or what we can not fit in or your rubbish. In future any security evidence will go to the relevant authorities so you may be fined for illegal dumping.
For on-the-spot fines for illegal dumping:

$7,500 on-the-spot fine for individuals, if issued by the EPA ($4,000 otherwise)
$15,000 on-the-spot fine for corporations, if issued by the EPA ($8,000 otherwise)

Maximum penalty for an individual: $250,000 and, in the case of a continuing offence, a further daily penalty of $60,000
Maximum penalty for a corporation: $1,000,000 and in the case of a continuing offence, a further daily penalty of $120,000

For wilful or negligent disposal of waste causing actual or likely harm to the environment:

Maximum penalty for an individual: $1,000,000 and/or 7-year prison sentence for wilful offences; $500,000 and/or 4-year prison sentence for negligent offences
Maximum penalty for a corporation: $5,000,000 for wilful offences; $2,000,000 for negligent offences
