ADOPT A GOLDEN OLDY!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

There are so many socially isolated older people in our community who are in desperate need of social connection. I am lucky enough to work with an Aged Care Visiting program where I help find friendly volunteers who would like to connect with our elderly people in need..... our "Golden Oldies".

If you can spare an hour a week to visit and provide social connection to an elderly person in the Northern Rivers area, we would absolutely love to hear from you.

As a visiting volunteer, you will brighten the life of an older person experiencing loneliness. You will also have the opportunity to learn from their unique history and knowledge, as they will also have the opportunity to learn from yours.

We appreciate all applications and are rewarded by the community connections we are able to make for some of our most vulnerable community members. What we do really changes their lives. One visit at a time.

So much happening the last couple of days, presentations in Yamba, koala tours and Christmas drawings supplied by our local daycare centre. It's so lovely to have our community invite us to events and engage in the program.
