Our Kids raises awareness and much-needed funds to purchase paediatric equipment for Children's Ward, Special Care Nursery, the Women's Care Unit, and the Accident & Emergency Department at the Lismore Base Hospital and the surrounding hospital within the Northern Rivers Region including Tweed and Grafton Hospitals. The equipment Our Kids purchases helps us to improve medical care for children i

n our local hospitals and help reduce our little ones being transferred to Brisbane and Sydney for medical care that we can provide locally. We also administer annual Community Grants through the Richmond Valley Children's Health Foundation. Grants are available to children's health services within hospitals and community health organisations, to health professionals, special groups for chronically ill children, together with parents and guardians of children who live within the Northern Rivers. Our Kids provides governance over the Dorothy Edwards Trust Fund which awards an annual "Midwife of the Year" Award and a Continual Education Scholarship for Midwives. Since 2001, Our Kids has, through your donations, purchased over $2 Million worth of equipment for our hospitals to help keep our kids local when needing medical care.

🏃‍♀️ WHAT AN INCREDIBLE EVENT for Lismore and for Our Kids! 🏃‍♂️

The NAB Darrel Chapman Fun Run was an absolute cracker this year!

More than 1,406 competitors took to the streets to run and walk across three fantastic events; the Lismore Masters 21km, the Lord's Taverners Northern NSW 10km and the .consulting 4km.

But an event like this doesn’t happen without an incredible community behind it.

THANK YOU to everyone who registered, volunteered, donated, cheered from the sidelines, made coffee, sang, supported, encouraged and helped create such an amazing atmosphere on the day.

And to our incredible sponsors ....THANK YOU!

Your support makes this event possible and helps us continue our work supporting local kids and families stay local when needing medical care.

And now for the big number…

🎉 OVER $39,000 RAISED! 🎉

These funds will help us purchase a Panda Resuscitaire for Murwillumbah Emergency, providing vital equipment to support local babies and families for years to come. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making the 2026 NAB Darrel Chapman Fun Run such a huge success. We truly couldn’t do it without you!

Darrel Chapman Fun Runners, tomorrow is looking good... here’s everything you need to know to help make Sunday run smoothly:

🏃 Toilets: Portable toilets will be in Browns Creek car park (behind the toilet block). Public toilets are also available on the corner of Keen and Woodlark Streets.

🏃 Water stations: Located at the Turf Club, Savings Road, the 10km turnaround and the 21km turnaround.

🏃 Four-legged friends: Dogs are welcome but must be on a small leash at all times. Please start at the back of the pack.

🏃 Parking: Available at Browns Creek car park or in Keen Street. Please note Woodlark Street will be closed from 5.00am.

🏃 Marquees: You’re welcome to bring a marquee and set it up on either side of the road. Please follow volunteer directions.

🏃 Food & coffee: Local Lismore coffee shops will be open from 6.00am. The Lismore Lions Club will also be cooking up a BBQ breakfast with sausages and steak sandwiches – bring some cash $$ for brekkie!

Or, if you can’t make it Friday, you can collect your bib on Sunday morning from 6:00am at the Registration Tent on Woodlark Street, Lismore.

🏃‍♀️ You can still register on Sunday morning!
🕕 Registration Tent: Open from 6:00am to 9:00am

A Wonderful TUTU Day Donation 💗

Rebekka from Our Kids had the wonderful opportunity to pop in and see the team at Murwillumbah Services Club this week and receive a cheque for the funds raised through their recent Our Kids TUTU Day.

The Club got behind the cause in a fantastic way, donating $50 for every staff member who wore a tutu, while the community also got involved through a range of fun activities held throughout the day.

A huge thank you to the entire team and the local community for getting behind TUTU Day and helping raise much-needed funds for Our Kids. Your support makes a real difference to local children and families.

The Darrel Chapman Fun Run is THIS Sunday and we need a couple more amazing volunteers to help us bring the fun out on course! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

If you’re an early riser, love cheering people on and have plenty of encouragement to give, we’d love to have you on the team! 📣🙌

Volunteers will need to meet at registration by 6am to be allocated a spot out on the course.
