A massive thank you to the Byron Bay Services Anglers Club for their ongoing support of Our Kids.

This year, the club generously donated $2,500 to support our Welcome Home Packs, which are provided to children returning home after extended stays in city hospitals for cancer treatment.

We are incredibly grateful to the Anglers Club volunteers for their commitment to running the weekly raffles at The Rails, bringing joy to our kids while also giving locals the chance to win fantastic meat trays!

🏡💙 BIG NEWS FOR OUR KIDS SISTER CHARITY ...OUR HOUSE!

We are excited to share that plans for Our House 2 are moving forward, with the Development Application set to be lodged with Lismore City Council.

For more than 14 years, Our House has provided affordable accommodation for patients and families travelling to Lismore for medical treatment. Today, we welcome more than 1,500 guests every year, but demand continues to grow, with around 25% of accommodation requests unable to be met due to a lack of available rooms.

Our House 2 will add 30 new purpose-built units, helping more patients, carers and families stay close to the healthcare they need when they need it most.

As Our House Chair Dr Chris Ingall says, "When families are already facing the stress and uncertainty of illness, the last thing they should have to worry about is where they will sleep or how they will afford to stay close to their loved one."

State Member for Lismore and Minister for the North Coast Janelle Saffin has been a long-time supporter of Our House and said she is committed to advocating for significant funding for the project.

"Our House is truly regional in its reach, currently supporting more than 1,500 guests a year as loved ones receive specialist treatment for cancer, chronic health conditions or palliative care," Ms Saffin said.

"Having an additional 30 rooms conveniently located close to Lismore Base Hospital will benefit many more patients and their families when they most need practical support and reassurance."

Our House General Manager Ruth Harrison said, "Our House 2 is about planning for the future."

✅ 2,000+ free meals provided to guests each year

Twenty-five years is an extraordinary body of work …and we are incredibly grateful for the love, creativity and generosity Jacklyn has poured into every calendar over the years. 📸❤️

As we celebrate 25 years of the Our Kids Calendar, Jacklyn’s incredible work will also be celebrated in our 25-Year Book, featuring children from the calendars across the years.

Happy October Long Weekend, everyone! 🍂📅

As we celebrate the start of October, we're excited to introduce Jackson, our Mr October in the Our Kids Calendar.

Jackson has Williams syndrome and has already undergone heart surgery. He is doing incredibly well and continues to thrive despite also facing challenges with his kidneys.

With the support of a healthy diet and medication, Jackson is flourishing. He loves cars, trucks and dinosaurs, and the car featured in his photo is already earmarked as his when he grows up! 🚗🦖
