Sometimes it’s important to stop and recognise the difference that support, encouragement and simply showing up can make in a young person’s life. 💛

Today, we’re celebrating an incredible milestone with 9 young people graduating their Year 10 Equivalent through ACE Community College, Murwillumbah Campus.

Many of these young people had faced challenges in mainstream schooling, with some experiencing suspensions and others disengaging from education altogether. But through consistency, encouragement, and having people in their corner who believed in them, they kept showing up — and today, they achieved something really special.

A huge congratulations to every one of these young people. You should be incredibly proud of yourselves. 👏

And to those working behind the scenes supporting young people every day… never underestimate the impact you have. You are helping change lives.

Connect Northern Rivers recently teamed up with Summerland Bank to deliver free financial literacy workshops for young people across the Northern Rivers… covering real-life topics like tax, super, banking, budgeting, debt, and staying safe from online scams.

Delivered at The Space in Lismore in a culturally safe, youth-led environment, the workshops gave young people practical knowledge and confidence to better understand money and make informed financial decisions.
📊 The impact:
✔️ 86% found the workshops useful
✔️ 79% felt more confident managing money
✔️ 94% nailed the superannuation question

Because financial literacy isn’t a luxury — it’s a life skill. 💡

Come along for a Day in the Life of a Tweed River High School Cert III in Business Services student who completed work placement with us at Connect Northern Rivers – Tweed office. From real workplace tasks to building confidence and practical skills, it’s all about gaining hands-on experience in a real work environment.

Moments that Matter 🙌🏼

A big shout-out to our incredible team Jade and Hope from our Coffs Harbour office for supporting and supervising HSC VET students Ahkeem, Matias and Crue during their AWS placement!

We received first-hand feedback on how much the boys enjoyed their week-long experience that was all about AI in Industry and the Future of Work 🤖

From cloud computing and machine learning to cybersecurity and AI, they got the chance to explore cutting-edge technologies and gain insight into
emerging career pathways 💥😲
