In 2024, something special happened.

Over two days, 248 people from 115 organisations came together in Lismore to learn, connect and strengthen disaster preparedness across the Northern Rivers.

The conversations didn't end when the Summit finishedโ€”they sparked new partnerships, practical ideas and ongoing collaboration that continues today.

Held on Widjabul Wia-bal Country in Lismore, the heart of the Northern Rivers, September 16 & 17, we're building on that momentum. We'd love you to be part of it.

One of our favourite moments from June was seeing so many people come together at the Lismore Emergency Management Expo during the Lantern Parade

From local emergency services and community organisations to families and volunteers, the day was a reminder that disaster preparedness is something we build together. Every conversation, every question and every connection helps strengthen our community before the next disaster.

That's exactly what the Disaster Ready Together Summit is all about.

On 16โ€“17 September, we'll bring together community organisations, emergency management agencies, researchers and resilience leaders from across the Northern Rivers for two days of practical learning, collaboration and connection.

If you care about building stronger, more prepared communities, we'd love you to join us.

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Tickets are on sale now: https://resilientlismore.org.au/event/disaster-ready-together-summit/

We've worked hard to keep registration costs as low as possible so that everyone can participate.

If cost is a barrier, we're also offering:

A limited number of subsidised registrations discounted community and student tickets
A limited number of Mob Tickets for First Nations folks are available
Volunteer opportunities, with free attendance
Scholarships available

This project is proudly supported by the Australian Government and the NSW Government.
