When Sofia Ahmed placed her faith in Christ, she knew it would come at a cost.

What she couldn't have anticipated was the severe opposition that would follow from within her own family.

Today, Sofia is recovering in hospital after undergoing surgery, while local Christians rally around her with prayer and support.

Meet one of our speakers for Crown Conference Victoria.

For security reasons, we are unable to share his name and photo publicly, but his story and ministry are truly inspiring.

Serving in Indonesia, home to the world's largest Muslim population, he has spent years faithfully sharing the gospel with Muslims despite significant challenges. Through his ministry, thousands have come to faith in Christ, and many have been equipped to share the hope of Jesus with others.

A former Muslim himself, his testimony is a powerful reminder that God is at work among the Muslim communities, drawing them to Himself and building His church.

Join us at Crown Conference Victoria to hear firsthand how the gospel is transforming lives in Indonesia.

One of the most powerful testimonies in Scripture is the transformation of Apostle Paul. A man who once persecuted Christians became one of the gospel's greatest messengers after encountering Jesus on the road to Damascus (Acts 9).

Today, there are still people who oppose Christianity, persecute believers, or actively work against the gospel. Yet God specialises in transforming hearts. No one is beyond His reach.

Let's pray for modern-day 'Sauls' around the world – those who are hostile to Christ, resistant to the gospel, or involved in persecuting Christians. May they encounter Jesus, experience His grace, and become powerful witnesses for His kingdom.

STRONG TO THE END IN HAITI: "I Can't Wait to See Jesus!"

In May 2024, missionaries Davy and Natalie Lloyd and Haitian co-worker Judes Montis were killed in a gang attack on their mission compound. Two years on, Davy’s parents, David and Alicia Lloyd, share how God has sustained them, finding comfort in Davy’s deep longing to be with Jesus.

David and Alicia have written a powerful book, 'Strong to the End: The Simple Service and Sudden Sacrifice of the Martyrs in Haiti', available on Kindle through our online shop, that tells the story of Davy and Natalie and their mission work in Haiti. https://vom.com.au/product/strong-to-the-end-the-simple-service-and-sudden-sacrifice-of-the-martyrs-in-haiti/

Since 1969, Voice of the Martyrs Australia has supported persecuted Christians in hostile and restricted nations. As an Australian-based charity, we help strengthen the church, care for suffering believers and speak on their behalf. Your support helps to:

• provide emergency relief for Christians who have been attacked or displaced.
• strengthen the church through the provision of Bibles, training and pastoral support.
• ensure their voices are heard by sharing their stories and encouraging prayer.

All gifts to Bibles & Literature, Front Line Ministry, Families of Martyrs and VOMedical directly support overseas projects.

With the end of the financial year approaching, donations made before 30 June 2026 can make a meaningful difference. Gifts of $2 or more are tax-deductible for Australian residents. https://vom.com.au/donate/

Togo is a small West African nation where Christians make up a significant portion of the population. While churches are well established in many parts of the country, believers in the north face growing challenges from Islamist groups operating across the border region. Some Christians have experienced threats, displacement, attacks on churches, and pressure because of their faith.

In recent years, security concerns in Northern Togo have increased as militant groups linked to the wider Sahel insurgency have carried out attacks and caused displacement in border communities. Religious leaders across the region have called for prayer, peace, and protection for affected families.

Today, let's pray for Christians living under threat, for pastors and church leaders serving in vulnerable areas, and for God's protection over communities affected by violence.

What would you do if following Jesus meant losing the support of your own family?

Marie (18) and Rosaline (17) made that choice. After becoming Christians, they faced rejection, intimidation, and even the loss of food from family members determined to force them back to their former beliefs.

Yet they remain steadfast.

"God exists, and His kindness never ends," Marie said.
