Have your say on food allergy prevention in children!

Researchers are seeking parents, carers and community members across the Nepean Blue Mountains region to take part in a short survey exploring community perspectives on the prevention of food allergy in children.

The research team is hoping to receive around 100 responses from a broad range of people across the community.

The survey only takes a few minutes to complete and can be accessed online below or by scanning the QR code on the flyer.

👉 Take the survey: https://redcap.link/allergysurvey

Your views will help researchers better understand community perspectives on food allergy prevention.

Please share this post with parents, carers and other community members who may be interested in taking part.

It’s National Child Protection Week.

This year’s theme, Every Conversation Matters: Shifting Conversation to Action, reminds us that keeping children and young people safe is everyone’s responsibility.

At Connect Children and Families, we believe every child and young person deserves to feel safe, supported and heard. This National Child Protection Week, we’re joining the conversation and reflecting on the actions we can all take to help create safer environments where children and young people can thrive.

🌟 Speech Pathology Week 2026 🌟

This year, we’re celebrating Speech Pathology Week and the theme “Communication creates possibility.”

Communication opens doors to connection, inclusion, confidence, independence and opportunity. Speech pathologists support people of all ages to communicate in ways that help them participate, express themselves, build relationships and engage meaningfully with the world around them.

We’re proud to recognise our amazing Speech Pathologists, Kerrie, Jackie and Andrew, who are passionate about supporting young children to develop their communication skills and find their voice. Their work goes beyond speech and language — they help create possibilities for every child to be heard, understood, included and empowered to participate.

Thank you, Kerrie, Jackie and Andrew, for the incredible difference you make every day.
