You Yangs parkrun is a FREE, timed, 5K, run/walk put on by the community for the community at 8am every Saturday at the You Yangs, Victoria

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. You Yangs parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful You Yangs and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

Start for 31 October 2026.

Due to a technical issue today we have had to give all participants a time of 59:59. Unfortunately these things happen from time to time. We did have 63 participants this morning and the rainy weather held off. We also participated in the parkrun Day for Daniel with a number of people wearing red to remember Daniel and to help raise awareness of the great work of The Daniel Morcombe Foundation.

You Yangs parkrun is supporting the Day for Daniel walk tomorrow the 31 October 2026, which is an annual walk held by The Daniel Morcombe Foundation, in memory of Daniel. The foundation seeks to protect children through education and empowerment to stay safe. We will have a QR code available for those wishing to make a donation. We also ask that you wear red to show your support to this very important event.
