As we approach the end of the financial year, we invite you to consider supporting On the Way Moreton Bay Inc.

We are a volunteer-led registered charity providing our Tuesday night Community Connection Dinners and emergency food hampers for individuals and families doing it tough in our local community.

We receive no government funding and rely on the generosity of our community, sponsors and donors to continue making a difference.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Every contribution, big or small, helps us provide kindness, dignity, connection and practical support to those who need it most. 💙

A huge thank you to Kay and her husband from Scarborough for their incredibly generous donation of a Thermomix for our community dinners. ❤️

This is such an amazing gift and will make a big difference in our kitchen, helping make food preparation easier as we continue cooking meals for our community.

We are so grateful for the kindness and support shown to On The Way Moreton Bay Inc. It’s donations like this that help us keep doing what we do and supporting those who come through our doors.

❤️ What a great community dinner we had last night ❤️

It was wonderful seeing so many new faces come through the doors and connecting with our community. We had 50+ people join us for the night.

Everyone loved our soup of the day, creamy pumpkin soup, our build your own hotdog bar, and of course the build your own sundae bar was a big hit 🍦🌭

A huge thank you to all our amazing volunteers. I honestly could not do this without you. The time, kindness and effort you give helps make these nights possible and creates a welcoming space for everyone who attends ❤️

This was our last dinner for June. We will be back again on Tuesday 7th July at John Naumann Hall.

We are also looking for more volunteers to join our team, especially:

It’s Build Your Own Hot Dog Night with ice-cream sundaes for dessert!

At On the Way Moreton Bay Inc, everyone is welcome. Whether you are housed or unhoused, feeling lonely, facing mental health challenges, living with disability, struggling with addiction, walking your recovery journey, a family struggling to put food on the table, or just needing connection, this is a safe, welcoming, non judgemental space to come together, connect and be supported.

We especially encourage anyone impacted by addiction or in recovery to come along. You don’t have to do it alone. Sometimes a conversation, a meal and being around people who understand can be the first step to feeling supported.

A lived experience support group for those wanting to make positive changes in their life or who are in recovery from addiction.

A safe place to connect with others who understand, encourage each other and support one another on the recovery journey.

💙 Men’s Clothing Donations Needed 💙

On the Way Moreton Bay Inc is currently looking for donations of men’s warm clothing to support the youth and men who attend our community dinners Tuesday nights at the John Naumann Hall Deception Bay.

We are especially needing:

👕 Hoodies
🧥 Jackets
👔 Jumpers
👖 Jeans
🩳 Shorts
Track Pants

Sizes needed: Large through to 3XL

We kindly ask that all donated items are:
✅ Washed and clean
✅ In good condition
✅ Free from stains, marks, holes or rips

These items help provide warmth, dignity and support to people in our community who may be doing it tough.

We are looking for some men’s and women’s clothing for our clothes stand at our community dinners.

With the cooler weather here, we are especially needing:

🧥 Warm jackets
👕 Jumpers & hoodies
👖 Track pants
👖 Jeans

Items must please be washed and in good condition with no rips, holes or stains so we can pass them on with dignity to those who need them.

Please reach out if you have anything you would like to donate.

Please do not drop items directly to the hall as we have limited storage. Contact us first and we can organise a suitable drop off time at one of our dinners.
