Building Better Communities Information Session

Come along to a free information session to learn about Building Better Communities.

Building Better Communities is a free 6-week course for people who care about community, connection and positive change.

This one-hour information session is open to everyone in the community. You do not need to be a practitioner or already involved in community work.

At the session, you can learn what the course is about, ask questions, and find out if you would like to take part.

The course is for people who have ideas for our communities and want to do something to make it happen.

Morning tea will be provided after the session.

The 6-week course will be offered separately after the information session. Places in the course will be limited.

📣 One final call for anyone wanting to study their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care!

The course starts tomorrow in Deception Bay and runs every Wednesday and Thursday, 9am-2.30pm, with 10 weeks of classroom training and 160 hours of placement arranged for you.

There are only 3 spots left, and this is our final Childcare course for 2026.

Men’s Breakfast - Free Community Event

We’re proud to support this free men’s breakfast hosted by the Anglican Men’s Society for Men’s Mental Health Week.

Come along for a relaxed morning of food, connection and honest conversation about men’s mental and physical health, coping techniques, and looking out for one another.

All men are welcome.

Want to start a career in aged care or disability support?

Our Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability) course starts 1 June in Caboolture.

Training is face-to-face on Mondays and Tuesdays, 9am to 2:30pm.

The course includes vocational placement, First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, student mentor support, resume help, employer connections, job referrals and access to support through the Neighbourhood Centre.

Would you like to be part of something that makes a real difference in people’s lives?

We’re currently looking for volunteers to support our No Interest Loans (NILS) Program at Deception Bay Neighbourhood Centre.

NILS helps people on low incomes access up to $2000 for essential items and services, supporting financial wellbeing and reducing stress during tough times.
