There is a lot to organise before the first planter reaches its spot. 🌿

Loading access, lift bookings, delivery times and a clear installation sequence can all affect how smoothly a job runs. A quick check with the site contact beforehand can save plenty of back-and-forth on the day.

And there’s nothing quite like stepping back once everything is in place.

Installers: what is the one thing you always confirm before arriving?

Meet Tegan Parnicott, IPA Secretary and owner and manager of Evergreen Interiors in Mackay.

Sustainability can start with the run sheet. 🚐🌿

Grouping nearby maintenance visits and checking that the vehicle has the right plants, tools and supplies can help avoid unnecessary return trips.

Plans still need room for urgent jobs and the realities of traffic, but a little preparation can make a difference over a busy working week.

What helps your team make the most of each trip?

A good prune starts with knowing what you want to achieve.

Removing damaged growth, managing size and maintaining a balanced shape call for different decisions. The species and condition of the plant matter too, along with clean, suitable tools.

Sometimes the best decision is to leave healthy growth alone. 🌿

Yesterday’s quiz answer was A — Heptapleurum arboricola, also widely known as Schefflera arboricola or dwarf umbrella tree. How did you go?

Some plants need a little support to show their best form. 🌿

A climbing plant trained on a suitable support can add height and a different shape to an interior planting scheme.

The support needs to suit the species and remain stable as the plant develops, with room for the team to carry out ongoing care.

Do you enjoy working with climbing plants, or prefer a freestanding statement plant?

We put as much care into our people as we do our spaces.

We’re looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Auckland team - someone who takes real ownership of group reporting, drives continuous improvement, and wants to be part of a business they can be proud of. You’ll work across our NZ and Australian entities, with genuine influence over how our finance function scales.

Values-driven, people-first, and growing fast. Applications via link in bio.

A workspace can change long after the plants arrive.

A desk moves, blinds stay closed or a new air-conditioning outlet is installed. Changes like these can affect the conditions around a plant and how easily the team can reach it.

Keeping the plantscape team in the loop helps them reassess placement and care when needed.

Have you ever found a site change behind a plant problem?
