Under cool weather and Queenslander day we had a lovely parkrun which was welcome with 15 First Timers lots of chats and Banter from Our NSW visitors. Congratulations to all the runners achieved PBs and a big Thank You to all our very Valuable Volunteers who again made parkrun possible this week

Afternoon Parkrunners
We are in need of the following Volunteers for This Saturday 6/6/2026 which is QUEENSLAND Day and everyone is ask to wear Maroon or dress up like a Queenslander eg Pineapple Avacardo etc or a nice Swimwear or Surfboard , Sun hat, Sun Shade
The following Volunteers Positions are
Timekeeper
Barcode Scanner
Finish Tokens
2 x Marshals
Photographer

Congratulations to the 28 Parkrunners who completed Event 206 today
Congratulations are in order to
David W who completed his 250th parkrun
Young Alex who completed his 50th parkrun
And we welcomed 11 FirstTimers ( 3 of these Parkrunners it was their 1st time ever)
2 Parkrunners achieved PBs and Our 1st Runner over the Finish Line Young Gretel achieved her overall PB this Morning
Thank you to all our Fantastic Volunteers this Morning that made Parkrun go ahead especially /Robyn Phaln who are Queensland Statesman having done all 140 parkruns in QLD
Finally don’t forget next Saturdays Parkrun 6/6/26 is Queensland Day so everyone are asked to wear Maroon to help celebrate
We are on the look out for volunteers for next week and following weeks so if you can help out leave a message or email us
