We would like to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to the general public for coming along and supporting the Recreational Wildlife & Pet Fest this weekend!

It was truly incredible to see such a strong turnout, with approximately 4,000 attendees across the two days. The atmosphere across the entire weekend was outstanding, and it was clear that there is a genuine passion within the community for wildlife, reptiles, and responsible pet ownership. Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without your support, and we are extremely grateful to each and every one of you who walked through the gates.

We hope you all enjoyed the wide range of displays, the opportunity to meet and chat with our knowledgeable and passionate vendors, and the chance to learn more about wildlife conservation, reptile care, and the broader pet industry. Whether you were there to expand your knowledge, purchase supplies, or simply spend a great day out with family and friends, we hope the experience was both enjoyable and memorable.

A big thank you as well for the positive energy, respect, and enthusiasm shown throughout the event. It creates a welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone involved — from attendees and vendors to organisers and volunteers.

Your ongoing support helps strengthen this growing community and allows us to continue planning, improving, and delivering events like this into the future. We are always striving to make each event bigger and better, and your feedback and attendance play a huge role in that journey.

We would like to welcome Reptifauna to this years Recreational Wildlife and Pet Fest.

Reptifauna is a specialty pet food company owned by reptile keepers Ethan and Nicole, located on the Sunshine Coast. They supply a range of frozen feeders as well as live Dubia roaches, with weekly deliveries to most areas of South-East QLD.

The company was founded with the goal of being a reliable supply of feeders to the local area and beyond. Ethan and Nicole have both worked in the reptile industry for many years, and aim to build a company that provides a top-quality product, while always putting the community and their customers first.

We’re excited to welcome Joe Ball to the Recreational Wildlife and Pet Fest!

Joe is widely recognised for his expertise with Blue Tongue lizards and will be joining us for book signings.

His latest publication is an impressive 400-page book featuring over 800 photographs, capturing 18 years of hands-on experience in the husbandry and breeding of blue-tongued skinks. It’s a must-have for enthusiasts of all levels.

Due to technical reason Carso's Critters are unable to do our Venomous reptiles talks and display.

But we are please to Announce the Henio and Chilli from Reptile Awareness Displays of Australia. Have come in to help the society out, on short notice.
The Reptiles that they will bring for all to see over the weekend with 3 show on Saturday and 2 shows Sunday.
- Western Tiger Snake - Notechis scutatus occidentalis (unbanded, yellow)
- Peninsular Black Tiger Snake – Notechis ater niger (pitch black)
- Western Brown Snake aka Gwardar – Pseudonaja mengdeni (strongly banded)
- Rough-scaled Snake – Tropidechis carinatus

Apart from the 4 specials above, we will bring the standard crowd favourites:

- Inland Taipan – Oxyuranus microlepidotus
- Eastern Brown – Pseudonaja textilis
- Coastal Taipan – Oxyuranus scutellatus
- Red-bellied Black – Pseudechis porphyriacus
- Death Adder – Acanthophis antarcticus x 2 (father and 1 y/o son)

If any of the special ones are about to shed, we will substitute with:

- Collette’s Black Snake – Pseudechis colletti
- King Brown Snake – Pseudechis australis
- Spotted Black Snake – Pseudechis guttatus
- Common Tiger Snake – Notechis scutatus
