Meet Belinda, or BJ, as so many of our clients know her. 💙

After a tough experience earlier in her career, Belinda wasn’t planning to stay in disability support long term. Then she found Holistic Horizons, and everything changed.

Years on, she’s done almost every role here, and she’ll tell you this is where her heart is. Not just a job, but her work family.

Belinda is exactly the kind of person who makes this place what it is, and we’re so grateful she stayed.

Things are heating up at Cooking Group! 🍳

Our participants have been getting busy in the kitchen, turning simple ingredients into something delicious and enjoying the little moments that make cooking so much fun.

There's always plenty to do, from following recipes to trying new things and sharing the excitement of seeing it all come together.

Who knows what will be on the menu next week? 👀💛

Tucked away in a quiet pocket of Rothwell, the Chateau is a bright, air-conditioned four-bedroom home built for comfort, independence and connection. Open-plan living, a fully equipped kitchen, a lovely covered outdoor area, and a room ready for you to make your own.

And you are right where life happens: the train station, the waterfront cafes, the footy, the shops and the water all just minutes away.

We currently have one vacancy for a male participant in this beautiful Supported Independent Living home. If it feels like home, we would love to show you through.

👜✨ A little creativity goes a long way!

Our Thursday Group got crafty, creating their very own personalised bags! Everyone had the chance to add their own touch and make something unique to take home. 💛

We love to see everyone get creative, build skills and enjoy time together!

🌧️ Important Event Update 🌧️

Due to the forecasted rain, our 10 Year Celebration Event has been postponed and will now be held on Friday, 30 October.

We understand many people were looking forward to celebrating with us and apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause. The decision was made to help ensure everyone can enjoy the event safely and comfortably.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We can't wait to celebrate this special milestone with our participants, families, staff, and community on the new date! 🎉💙

Nathan's bus is back on the road, and that calls for a celebration. 🚌🎉

At our latest Community Catch-Up we came together to mark something special: Nathan's bus, his main way of getting out and about, is finally restored and ready to roll. Months of generous work by a whole community, powered by the funds Nathan raised himself, all for one of our own.

Seeing a win like this for a fellow HH'er is exactly what these catch-ups are about.

And the celebrations don't stop here. Join us next week as we mark 10 years of Holistic Horizons.

Come and celebrate a decade of Holistic Horizons with us. 🎉

Ten years ago we started with a single connection and one belief, that everyone deserves to live a full life, surrounded by community and treated like family.

These are just some of the moments that made it all worth it. The barbecues, the birthdays, the belly laughs and the friendships. Every catch-up has been a reminder of what we are really here for: people.

From written off to back on the road 🚌

When Nathan's bus was written off, it could have been the end of the road. Instead, it became a story about what a community can do when it pulls together.

Nathan's dad Gavin bought the bus back, and the rebuild began. What followed was months of quiet, generous work. Gordon from the men's ministry at Hills Church took on the bulk of the panel and paint work in his own time, with a whole crew of family, friends and volunteers pitching in wherever they could.

Here is the part that gets us. Every single hour of labour was given for free. The only costs, buying the bus back and the parts to restore it, were covered entirely by the money Nathan raised himself on his rides. Somewhere between 40 and 50 hours of work, given freely, out of nothing but love.

Now we want to celebrate it with you. Come along to our Community Catch Up tomorrow to see the bus, meet the wonderful people behind it, and share a relaxed morning together. Everyone is welcome, so bring the whole family.
