A little of what’s been happening lately at PWC.

From school partnerships and practical support to student wellbeing initiatives, women’s groups, children’s education sessions, and building our new community space, things are growing and we are so excited.

We are working hard to create a modern community platform designed around the realities of everyday life, family life, and women’s wellbeing. A place to connect, learn, access support, find your people, and navigate life a little easier.

It’s wonderful having you here.

At a glance, it’s a lunch pack, simple, practical.
What sits behind that is far more considered. Every lunch pack is put together with intention, not just around what a child needs to eat, but how they experience their day.

It means:
- not being singled out
- sitting with friends without feeling different
- being able to focus, participate, and engage

For schools it creates a way to respond quickly, quietly, and with dignity.

You’ll notice our packs don’t carry logos, labels, or branding, this isn’t about visibility for us.

It’s about making sure the child carrying it feels like everyone else.

Care, when done properly, doesn’t draw attention, it removes it.

Today, we pause to remember the sacrifice and service of those who have served, past and present.

We reflect on their courage, their dedication, and the legacy they have left behind, their stories continue to shape our communities and our spirit.

At The Packed with Care Foundation, we stand in deep respect and remembrance for all who have served, those continuing to serve and the families and loved ones.

Lest we forget.

There’s a lot of pressure to keep everything moving to stay on top of it all and not let anything drop. But real life doesn’t always work like that.
There are moments where things build up and something has to shift, not because you’re falling behind, but because your capacity isn’t unlimited.

Over the past few weeks, we have been in one of those moments and we chose to put our time where it mattered most, supporting our community.

We know this is something a lot of women are navigating every day, let this be a kind reminder.
You don’t have to do everything at once.
You don’t have to carry it all perfectly.
Sometimes the most important thing you can do is choose what matters and let the rest wait.

Earlier this month I attended the GSCC International Women’s Day lunch, for four years the chamber has supported the foundation and their continued support is vital to making our work possible.

This year the Greater Springfield Chamber Of Commerce raised $5,040! a reflection of what happens when community comes together. Thank you to the Chamber for your continued support over the years. Thank you also goes to the event sponsors and everyone who attended.

Thank you for being part of something that creates real, practical impact for women and children in our community.

International Women’s Day is a global moment to recognise the achievements, leadership and influence of women in shaping our communities, economies and futures.

First recognised by the United Nations in 1975 and now marked around the world each year on 8 March, International Women’s Day celebrates the progress made toward gender equality while continuing to drive momentum for fair and inclusive systems for women and girls.

This year’s UN Women Australia theme, “Balance the Scales,” highlights the importance of creating fair, accessible systems so every woman and girl can be safe, heard and able to shape her own future.

Here in Queensland, the conversation continues through Queensland Women’s Week, with the 2026 theme “Shaping tomorrow together,” recognising the importance of women’s economic security and the role communities play in advancing equality, wellbeing and opportunity.

At Packed With Care, we see the everyday realities behind these conversations, women balancing work, caregiving, health, family and community roles while continuing to contribute enormously to their families and communities.

Today we celebrate women, their resilience, leadership and influence, and the collective role we all play in building stronger, more connected communities.

We are expanding our community support work to include workshops and groups for women designed to address a gap we see every day.

Many women experience barriers to accessing support long before crisis: time, cost, caring responsibilities, health, and limited options. These barriers don’t mean women don’t need support, they mean the system isn’t designed for where they sit.

These spaces are designed to offer:
- support that fits around real lives
- flexibility for work, family, and health
- information that’s useful, not overwhelming
- connection without another long-term commitment
- accessible, gender-specific workshops and groups
- support for women. NOT just during crisis

We are beginning with online delivery as we know life is busy enough without adding another appointment in the mix, with in-person options to follow.
