Ipswich Central Partnership (ICP) are community members focussed on community-led placemaking in Ipswich Central. Our group of volunteers work in partnership with the three levels of government, local businesses, residents, and other community organisations. We support Ipswich City Council’s vision for Ipswich Central to be the cultural hub and beating heart of our city. Our members are passionate

about revitalising central Ipswich. We manage projects that bring vibrancy into our streetscapes through shaping and activating places which build identity and energy. We aim to stimulate cultural and economic activity in our city heart, ensuring it is well-used, inclusive, and loved by all. Ipswich Central Partnership is proud to be part of the Town Teams Movement! Town Teams Movement enables local communities and governments to connect, organise and act to regenerate the fabric of their neighbourhoods and to create better places.

Join Ipswich Central Partnership Saturday March 7 for a guided walking tour that explores Ipswich through the lens of neo-urbanism, revealing how communities shape places. Participants are invited to rethink ownership, responsibility, and possibility, to challenge passive consumption of space, and to see the city not as something delivered to us, but something we actively create together.

The tour is part of the Creators Summit - Ipswich 2026 which brings our city’s creative community together for a one‑day celebration of ideas, art and connection.

Have your say and provide feedback on the Ipswich Cultural Heart initiative!

Council will be undertaking planning and design works for the Ipswich Central Heart project, which includes:
- Expansion of Ipswich Art Ipswich Community Gallery
- Redevelopment of the Ipswich Civic Centre
- Development of the Cultural Heart (d’Arcy Doyle Place)
- Streetscape refresh of Brisbane Street (Top of Town)
- Connection to the Ipswich City Centre Bikeway

Clean Up Ipswich - August 2nd 2025

Ipswich Central Partnership clean up event held in Ipswich CBD. Volunteers from ICP and help from local councillors performed a 2hr clean up resulting in a trailer load of rubbish and some graffiti removed.

Our thanks to all who helped make our community that bit better.

Also thankyou to Ipswich City Council for graffiti removal kits and waste transfer station access, and Clean Up Australia for cleanup kit.
