Samford Riding for the Disabled Samford Riding for the Disabled is a not-for-profit volunteer organisation that provides horse riding lessons for children and adults with disabilities.

From ground work and interaction sessions to dressage level riding. Samford RDA is a voluntary and not-for-profit organisation which provides both therapeutic and recreational horse riding programs for children and adults with disabilities. The centre provides lessons and other horse-related activities that will benefit people with disabilities including intellectual, learning specific disorders, injuries from accidents, cerebral palsy,muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis,Parkinson's disease,visual and hearing impairment,autism and many more. The therapeutic benefits gained from horse riding are many and varied. They affect our riders' lives in many ways,including: improving core strength and stability, developing co-ordination and balance, enhancing speech and communication skills, building confidence and enabling social interaction. In addition, horse riding provides a fun outdoor activity for people who may find it difficult to participate in mainstream sports.

The Samford Valley Classic Car Show is raising funds for Samford RDA!!!
THIS Sunday 4th October 9am - 12pm
Last year the Riley Car Club of Queensland ran the event and raised money for the Rural Fire Brigade. This year they are kindly donating to Samford RDA!
Because this is all about horse power, we will have two of our amazing horses on hand at the event to say hello.
$5 cash per car entry and per display car. Hot food and drinks available.
Come and show your kids how life used to be. Show them the cars your parents put you in for a trip to the beach. Show them how your grandparents got around. It's a teaching moment with history and engineering right before your eyes.
OR, bring your own car to show off. Make this your Cars and Coffee morning!!

On Sunday October 4 there will be a classic car show at the Samford Show Grounds. 9am to 12pm. Samford RDA is the nominated recipient of the funds raised. It will be run by the Queensland Riley Car Club. Well, we finally got there. On Saturday, 12 of September at 5:30 we launched our inaugural 🤠Spring Fling Hoedown🤠 fundraiser!!
After months of planning, organising, prepping and mild panicking it was an absolute cracker!!!! Over 200 people attended, Beefa's Bush Band on stage, Golden Valley Keperra Lions Club Inc. on the BBQ people on the dance floor, perfect lighting, awesome country music and a bar. We are honoured to be part of the Samford community and speechless (almost) about how much support we were given to help run the event, provide prizes and food. Support came from in and around Samford and from surrounding Brisbane suburbs.
This is our 19th year of operations. So you better get yourselves ready for what we do for our 20th birthday. We’re going to blow the roof of the joint!!! Yeeeehaw!!

It’s with heavy hearts that we let you all know that our beautiful Paddington Bear was laid to rest today.

He was a 1 in a million horse who had great impact on so many people, from coaches, volunteers to riders and their families.
