Supporting Jess' HYROX for Impact Challenge

Jess is taking on the incredible challenge of HYROX for Impact, raising funds for women's empowerment – a cause close to her heart.

HYROX is one of the world's toughest fitness events, combining 8km of running with eight demanding workout stations. It takes months of training, commitment and determination to prepare.

We're incredibly proud of Jess and would love our community to get behind her. Every donation, big or small, helps support this important cause and motivates Jess as she tackles this amazing challenge.

📣 We're Looking for an OSHC Vice President! 📣

The Samford State School P&C is currently seeking a volunteer to fill the role of Vice President overseeing OSHC.

This position plays an important role in supporting the governance of our Outside School Hours Care service and helping ensure it continues to thrive for the benefit of our school community.

No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to contribute, ask questions and be part of a great team.

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to Tracey Thomas, who has filled this role over recent years. Tracey's time, dedication and support of our school community has been greatly appreciated, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed.

🌈 UNDER 8s DAY HELPERS WANTED 🌈

Our little people are gearing up for a magical Under 8s Day this Friday and we would love a few extra helping hands to make the day extra special. 💛

The session will run from 11.25am–1.25pm and helpers get to join in on the fun. Helpers will need a Blue Card and to report to the office at 11.15am.

If you are available to help, please email your child’s class teacher directly.

Many hands make light work… and usually a lot more fun too ✨

🍦 Over the counter ice block sales will still be available.

HAPPY P&C DAY 💛🎉

To cap off Volunteer Week, we celebrate the parents, carers, grandparents, helpers, organisers, cheerleaders, laminators, bakers, coffee deliverers, table movers, last-minute saviours and community builders who make this school feel like home.

Our P&C team gives an extraordinary amount of heart, soul, time and love to this community. Not because they have to, but because they believe in what makes Samford special: community.

Today, we were also so excited to announce the inaugural winner of our P&C Volunteer Hall of Fame 🏆✨ ----> Charisse Greer! We can't recall an event, occasion, task, or call to action that Charisse hasn't been involved in. Charisse turns up in the little moments and the big ones and goes above and beyond to help make our community the best it can be for our kiddos.

To all of you, our community is better for having you in it.

You are the magic.
You are the village.
And we think you’re kind of a big deal.
