Now that the sun is shining again, come down to Lee's Crossing Reserve for our community Catchment Care Day! 🌱☀️

Hosted by PRCA in collaboration with the Dayboro Lions and Dayboro Scouts, this is a fantastic opportunity to get outdoors, connect with the community, and help care for our local environment.

Join us for a rewarding morning of planting, restoration activities, and hands-on catchment care along the beautiful South Pine River corridor. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or just keen to lend a hand, everyone is welcome.

The fun doesn't end there - there will be FREE BBQ following all your hard work!

Bring along:
🌿 Sun protection
🌿 Enclosed shoes
🌿 Water bottle
🌿 A positive attitude!

This is a great family-friendly event and a chance to make a real difference to local habitat and waterway health.

Together with volunteers, we carried out the May 2026 RiverWatch comprehensive survey at the Samford Eco-Corridor and Showgrounds Drive sites along the South Pine River🫶

The team completed habitat assessments and collected a range of samples, including surface water quality measurements (physicochemical parameters and grab samples) as well macroinvertebrate samples from the river’s edge, bed and riffle zones🐞✨

If you look closely at the net samples, you might spot a dragonfly larva and a freshwater prawn!
