Happy Dakini Day!

Such an auspicious day, with so many wonderful things happening: Tsethar is taking place, and Rinpoche has uploaded her new YouTube video. On top of that, our Rinpoche is also featured on the Drukpa Calendar today, and this day carries an auspicious elemental combination for extending one’s life. So special! May all the merit of this day be dedicated to Khandro Rinpoche’s long life. Emaho!

Happy Mothers Day

To our Divine Mother,
here in the West,
where we celebrate this day
called Mother’s Day.

What rare fortune we possess—
that you, our mother-like Guru, have come to the West,
where we have a day called Mother’s Day.
Like every true mother, you are always near:
when we are drunk with joy,
Or when fear and sadness overwhelm us
you never let us wander lost.

You are our Divine Mother
of Wisdom and Love.
And just as a caring mother
will scold and discipline her child,
so too, with fierce compassion,
you hold us, correct us, and protect us.

Give us not what we want
but what we need.
Our wild untamed child-like minds.
Lift us, we pray, above the waves
of our own negativity
in thoughts and deeds.

We owe so much on this day
May we fulfil all your wishes.
O Mother of Perfect Wisdom,
Mother of all Buddhas,
take us by the hand.
Clothe us in shining armour,
and guide us swiftly through the sky
along the path of sublime Dharma.

Thank you for manifesting here,
in this Western barbaric land
where we have a day
to honour you—

Khandro Rinpoche’s life has been shaped by both depth and resilience. Having faced many challenges and difficulties from a young age, including the early loss of her parents, these experiences became the ground for her inner strength and deep insight.

She later continued her studies in the West, engaging with modern psychology in the United States. Having lived in the West for over two decades, she is deeply familiar with its culture, mindset, and the challenges people face today. Her approach gently bridges authentic Buddhist tradition with a clear understanding of modern life. Over the years, she has traveled extensively, sharing her understanding across cultures and teaching students around the world.
