Some of you have been asking us whether future changes introducing an allied health annual funding limit will affect your access to Open Arms mental health & wellbeing support.
The short answer is that Open Arms services will not be affected by these changes.
The changes relate to certain allied health services from 1 July 2027. Fees payable to allied health providers under Veteran Card arrangements will be increased, and a new annual funding amount of $5,000 will be established, with additional support available if clinically needed.
Psychology and counselling provided through Open Arms are separate and will not count towards this annual amount.
