Our Fraser Coast Career Pathways Program (FCCPP) crew, Camille and Izzy, have been out at Fraser Coast Anglican College this week for Careers Days and Senior Education and Training planning sessions, talking with students about where a trade can take them.

With so much interest from students keen to pursue school-based apprenticeships, and enquiries coming in across almost every trade, now is a great time for local employers to get involved.

If you've been thinking about taking on a school-based apprentice but aren't sure how it works, get in touch. FCCPP can connect businesses with enthusiastic, work-ready students and provide support throughout the process.

There's no shortage of young people ready to roll up their sleeves. The next great apprentice could be waiting for the opportunity to meet you.

The journey from school into work can feel like a big step, but remember... everyone’s journey is different, and that’s okay.

At the recent Fraser Coast Industry & Careers Showcase, Fraser Coast Career Pathways teamed up with the Youth Employment Pathways Program and challenged students with something a little different... a cup stacking challenge!

Yes this was a bit of a fun but more importantly it comes with an important lesson. Sometimes things don’t go to plan the first time. You reset, try again and keep going.

Starting your career journey from high school is much the same. Whether it’s an apprenticeship, traineeship, further study or stepping into the workforce, every experience helps you build confidence, learn new skills and discover the pathway that’s right for you.

Through the School to Work Transition Program, Fraser Coast Career Pathways works with schools, students and employers to help create connections and support the next generation of Fraser Coast workers.

We’re always looking to connect with schools and employers interested in supporting young people through apprenticeships and traineeships, helping build a strong future workforce for our region. So reach out! [email protected]

Congratulations to our winners! 👏

We love the work we do at YEPP, especially when we see our young participants realise they have a team behind them as they explore their career options.

At the recent Fraser Coast Industry & Careers Showcase, we teamed up with Fraser Coast Career Pathways to give attendees a challenge... a cup stacking challenge!

This once-viral sensation might look like a bit of fun, but it comes with an important lesson. Sometimes things don’t go to plan the first time, and that’s okay. You reset, try again and keep going.

Choosing a career is much the same. You don’t have to have it all figured out from day one. We help young people explore their options, build confidence and discover the steps they can take to get where they want to go.

YEPP supports young people across the Wide Bay Burnett region to move forward with confidence, creating outcomes that continue long after the program ends.

Holistic support. Thriving wellbeing. Real pathways into work.

Congratulations to the Bayside Christian College students who claimed three of the four fastest times. Each winner took home a $20 voucher.
