This Sunday we are having a coached sailing session on the water from 10.30am to 11.30am. It is also a time to chat with other members and have a warm drink after a cold sail!

We already have 6 people registered and we will have an Instructor present to support you and a rescue boat on the water. Please remember that this is winter and the water is very cold so you require a wetsuit, thermals, beanies, wet weather jacket and boots to wear.

This is also weather dependent, so please be aware that the session may be cancelled if it is too windy or cold. We would hope to have an onshore session if required.

Registration is required and you must be a current member -

Member volunteers welcome, maybe the old blokes go for a sail after the training.

Looking forward to seeing you!

4 boats. 4 knots of breeze. Very pleasant day to be floating around Montrose bay.

Great day on the water today with a couple of Impulse, an NS14 and 7 sabres. Predictwind said 8 knot gusting to 19 and for half an hour thats what we had. Gradually eased off to almost nothing later. Great to see young Josh handling the breeze and Hugo enjoying himself.
Lots of chances to drop in on people and compare upwind and downwind speeds.
Wasnt shifty at all 😁

I'm thinking of a sail Sunday arvo. Get there about 1 for a 2pm on water. This will be a sail in company with no rescue boat. I'll have a mobile phone. Experienced sailors only. Please send me a message if you are coming and if you want a club boat.
