This legend Brendan Long along with his incredible wife Beth Long have teamed up with our charity for Geelong Running Festival and have smashed there fundraising goal of $1,000. Raising $1509 so far for brain cancer in Zoe’s memory. So grateful for our legacy ambassadors in helping make a difference.

Still wanting to join us on Sunday, September 20th, 2026 for the inagural Geelong Running Festival, and Geelong’s first ever Marathon.

Run or walk around the streets of Geelong traffic free, pass through iconic Kardinia Park, and enjoy picturesque views of Corio Bay and the Eastern Beach foreshore, while raising much needed funds for a local charity that is personal to you.

Today is Glioblastoma awareness day. It’s important to me to raise awareness into this particular brain cancer as this what took our darling Zoe’s life. The survival rates for adults in Glioblastoma is 6%. And I think it may be the same for children. Not fair at all.

My 5 year old daughter went through so much in 9months- surgery, radiation, chemo, multiple surgeries MRI’s and procedures before loosing her battle.
Our beautiful Zoe’s legacy will never be forgotten and will continue to raise awareness and funds towards brain cancer research with our funds currently helping medical researchers at WEHI (Walter + Eliza Hall Ins) in the Misty Jenkins lab targeting brain cancer & helping support families that are going through this journey through co-funding a brain cancer navigator in Victoria Peace Of Mind Foundation

I will be honest and say it has been hard of late, feeling overwhelmed with emotions, exhaustion, guilt that I haven’t been more present on social media for brain cancer in Zoe’s legacy. It’s so hard to run a charity, be a mumma (to a very energetic toddler, which by the way I love) but this is why I have slowed down on social media.

We are still here, and zoes ball plans for next year are underway. Again thankyou to we our amazing community to continue to support our cause.

One step at a time and hopefully one day together we will find a cure.

🏃 How incredibly exciting that we have 13 incredible team members who have signed up to raise awareness and funds for Zoe's Fight in the inaugural Geelong Running Festival on September 20th. 💕
There running for more than the finish line there running for hope 🏃‍♀️. A huge thankyou to our ambassadors Brendan, beth, Ash & Karen who are doing there bit to help raise $500 each. It’s been a minute since I’ve posted how I’ve been feeling. To be honest it’s been a hard month celebrating another birthday milestone without her. I also feel our posts are just not been seen, and then I think do people not want to see me post about brain cancer awareness and all my memories of Zoe. Or am I overthinking it. …

Anyway I’m just leaving this here… my beautiful, courageous and strong 5 year old daughter. Zoe was always trying to make us laugh in her toughest moments ever through brain cancer and always asked why other kids were still in hospital on the times she got home. Zoe you taught us so much, to love , to hope and live life to the fullest.

I really hope that one day medical researchers find better treatments and ultimately a cure for brain cancer.

Thankyou honestly to all of our community who continue to support us in in raising awareness and funds for brain cancer in Zoe’s memory, but also all of those children who are in heaven from this disease or who are here with us today.

To our beautiful daughter Zoe, Happy 14th Heavenly Birthday .
I honesty don’t know how to start to describe how i feel today. Missing you immensely, trying to ease the grief by making memories with Max. I know that you always wanted mummy and daddy to be happy again. You will be smiling down today watching us make memories with Max. Zoe you always were such a beautiful, happy & kind hearted little girl. If only you were here in this world to share your kindness. But I guess in a sense you still are sharing your heart and kindness with helping us raise funds for brain cancer in your legacy. Just not where we dreamt of being 9 years ago. Wish I was able to give you big cuddle to teenage Zoe today. Hope you’re having some cake up in heaven, I’m sure all of our grandparents are spoiling you with a delicious bbq and homemade sponge. Thankyou for all of you have messaged, called & commented. I do appreciate all the love and support. 😘

Words often don’t come very easy on the eve of Zoe’s birthday. I think back to the day she was born and all of her amazing 5 birthday’s we celebrated with our Zoe. These special milestones are always memories we will treasure forever.

Because I’m feeling sad, I thought why not share some special news today to cheer me up & hopefully give you all something to look forward to.
