🎻🪉 Meet Mickey & Michelle — Descending from the mountains are harp and fiddle extravaganza Mickey & Michelle, whose energetic and virtuosic performances have captured hearts throughout Australia and New Zealand. Celebrated for their intricate arrangements and heartfelt songwriting, Mickey & Michelle weave a gorgeous “chamber-folk” tapestry of original Celtic music infused with vocal harmony and fiery improvisations.

The duo's inception began with a wild idea to tour the length of New Zealand on foot for 6 months. This adventurous spirit continues to fuel their creativity, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the natural world. Through their carefully crafted lyrics and instrumentals, listeners are invited to reflect on their own relationship with nature.

Beyond their performances, Mickey & Michelle are enthusiastic teachers, spreading their tunes through workshops, music camps and inviting participants onstage. So come see the duo for yourself and don’t be surprised if you’re greeted by an orchestra of young and old, playing new Australian music.

Live at GFF26, Sunday 6 September. Tickets from $40. 🎟 👉 https://www.trybooking.com/DKZAG

If you like country/blues/folk with ‘layers’ of harmonies and strong arrangements then we reckon you’ll love The Dixie Chooks . They are frequently heard across the festival scene, community and corporate events entertaining audiences with material which often speaks to the experiences of woman kind as they wend their way through the challenges of middle age with grace and grit!

26/05/2026

Carl Dickens (Carl Dickens Music) is a violinist, tenor guitarist and singer-songwriter from right here on the Bellarine Peninsula, and if you haven't heard of him yet, that's about to change.
A former journalist with a lifelong love of language, Carl brings a writer's ear to everything he does. His debut album Pith and Vinegar (2023) is a kaleidoscopic ride through poetic storytelling, stream-of-consciousness rants and sharp reflections on personal and societal dysfunction - all delivered in a voice that draws from the warmth of Cat Stevens, the brooding of David Gray and the snarl of Billy Corgan.
Classically trained on violin and self-taught on the four-string tenor guitar, Carl has spent years hopping genres across orchestras, bands and duos, fusing Celtic, jazz and pop into something distinctly his own. His latest single Trial Balloon has been described as potent, playful, poetic and unapologetically real.

Catch Carl live at GFF26, Sunday 6 September. Tickets start at $40.

Remember to lock this date in your diaries - an In Conversation with Terry Fielding on Wednesday 3rd June at the Geelong Navy Club. We can't wait to hear about Terry's long and lovely career in folk music, and listen to some of his songs.

Stay afterwards and take part in our Session, have a folky jam over some drinks and the delicious Feast.

Our AGM will be held before the show - all members welcome! And if you are interested in being on the committee, we'd love to hear from you!
