What a bonny day of dancing at the inaugural Geelong Highland Games & Celtic Festival! 💃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Despite the very Scottish weather, it was so lovely to see the community come together to celebrate all things Scottish and Celtic. The atmosphere was amazing!

We performed three sets throughout the day, including one special set alongside our fellow Victorian Scottish Union dancers, Glenbrae Celtic Dancers Inc accompanied by the wonderful live piping of Elizabeth Little and PM Dale Keating of Geelong RSL Pipes and Drums. We also had the pleasure of performing to a live song by folk group Celts of the Colony! 🎶

A huge thank you to all our dancers and supporting musicians for their hard work, enthusiasm and fantastic performances, and to everyone who came along to support us. We’re so proud to have been part of this amazing event and can’t wait to do it all again next year! 💜💚

What a fantastic day of Highland Dancing at the Royal Geelong Show💃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Congratulations to all the dancers who took part in today’s competition and exhibition performances! We’re so proud of you all! 🤩

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day happen. Special thanks to Christine for organising everything, and Lyn and Dulcie for your expert judging! 👏

Today was also a particularly special occasion as we celebrated Dulcie’s final competition judging after over 50 years of involvement in Highland Dancing as both a teacher and judge. What an incredible contribution to our dancing community! Thank you, Dulcie, for the countless hours, dedication and passion you’ve given to Highland Dancing over the years. 💜

Thanks again to everyone who made today such a memorable one. We loved being part of the Royal Geelong Show! ✨
