Today we celebrate the United Nations 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘋𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺; the anniversary of the passing away of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for work undertaken in the struggle to overcome poverty and distress, which also constitute a threat to peace.

As a for-purpose organisation and registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), we are deeply committed to placing social impact above profit.

Whenever possible, we provide financial assistance to families experiencing hardship, ensuring that support reaches those who need it most. To sustain this mission, we rely on the generosity of grant funding and community donations.

Last week, our Community Engagement Operational Lead, Alison, attended the '𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘕𝘰𝘵-𝘧𝘰𝘳-𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘍𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵' event hosted by Beyond Bank and Community Business Bureau - CBB.

It was a fantastic opportunity to network with fellow local not-for-profit organisations and we were delighted to connect with Jenny from Bellarine Community Support Register Inc and Grace from The Outpost Inc., among many other passionate changemakers dedicated to helping NFPs access vital grant funding.

A huge thank you to Beyond Bank and Community Business Bureau for hosting such an inspiring event, we’re already looking forward to next year's event! ✨

Highlighting the importance of early childhood intervention during critical developmental years.

How early can we support children who might have autism?

"What happens if we listen to parents at that six to 18 months of age when they know their baby's developing differently? And provided a therapy support that helps babies learn in the way that's best for them. Not the way that's the best for everyone else.”

Andrew Whitehouse says getting a diagnosis or help for your child with autism used to be like ‘the wild west’. After the professor helped write the national guidelines in 2018, the world of autism assessment in Australia has radically changed.

Now parts of Australia are also running early intervention programs for babies as young as young as six months who are showing early differences in their social and communication skills.

We can’t wait to share more details with you soon, but for now, we want to send a huge thank you to the Lions Breakfast Club Geelong and the Awesome Foundation for organising and funding the carpark line markings.

As we step into a new financial year, Tiny Dots Early Intervention is excited to launch two new fundraising campaigns to raise essential funds to expand our Community Care Clinic and provide free screening for vulnerable babies and toddlers.

Our first campaign is all about ♻️ and you can help us by donating through the 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙖 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙚 (𝘾𝘿𝙎).

Do you and your family recycle cans and bottles? Tiny Dots is now proud to be an Approved Donation Partner with the Victoria CDS. By simply collecting and returning eligible drink containers, you can help the environment and support our cause—10c from each item donated goes directly to Tiny Dots.

How you can get involved:

1. Download the CDS Vic West app and use the interactive map to search for your local refund points;

3. Visit your nearest refund point with your cans and bottles and scan your unique barcode via the app before your start depositing your cans and bottles;
4. Deposit your cans and bottles and your refund will be donated directly to Tiny Dots.
