On Thursday evening Graeme Legge kindly attended and formally presented certificates to the memory of Arthur James Ogilvy and Lawrence James Fleming, both Emerald locals who fought in the South African War, to Emerald RSL President Kane Falconer.
This date was chosen for the presentation as being close to coinciding with the anniversary of the end of the war, The Treaty of Vereeniging on 31st May 1902.

Here is a little more about Kane.☺️

1. Are you married, and do you have family in the hills?
🔹Yes married to my beautiful wife Brooke. I live in the hills with my wife, 2 girls Imogen and Poppy and American Bulldog Luna.
2. What did you want to be, when you were growing up?
🔹I think I always wanted to be a soldier.
3. What 3 things would you want if you were stranded on a desert island?
🔹Surfboard. Fishing rod and a never ending bottle of rum.
4. What is the best movie you have seen?
🔹Big trouble in little China
5. What is your most annoying habit? Or something people find annoying/funny about you?
🔹Probably my inability to answer the phone sometimes. Sorry :)
6. What is your nickname?
🔹Falcs
