🏀U12's - Spots available for tomorrow's camp! 🏀

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our U10 School Holiday Basketball Camp. It was fantastic to see so many players learning new skills, working hard and having plenty of fun along the way!

There's still time to join us for our U12 School Holiday Basketball Camp tomorrow.

Our coaches, D'Art, Storm, Knox and Bonnie, have another action-packed session planned, focusing on:

So incredibly deserved. Congratulations Non. 💙

I’ve looked to Non as one of those genuinely inspiring community people who quietly gets things done, often without seeking recognition for it.

I had the privilege of working alongside her during the Emerald Funfest days, and she brought such warmth, calm leadership and deep care for the community into everything she did.

She has mentored, encouraged and supported so many people across the Hills over the years, often behind the scenes where most people never even see the work happening.

Emerald and the wider Hills community are better because of people like Non. This recognition feels incredibly fitting.

Congratulations again and thank you for everything you’ve given to this community over so many years. 👏

A team of Lakers member nominees has been put forward by the community. You’ll find their details below and more information on the EVER- Emerald Village Exercise and Recreation page if you’d like to read more about what the team has planned.

If you can’t attend in person, please submit a proxy. There’s a list of trusted members available, and you’re welcome to provide clear voting instructions for your proxy holder.

This AGM is a significant opportunity for the club to reset expectations, strengthen its governance, and refocus on basketball and our kids. Strong member participation is the only way it happens.

A quick update for Emerald Lakers Basketball Club members:

The notice for the rescheduled Special General Meeting doesn’t align with the Club’s 1989 Rules, particularly around how membership and voting rights are defined. On that basis, the meeting as described isn’t valid.

We’re challenging the accuracy of the information provided, but we still encourage members to register and attend so nothing is pushed through without proper oversight.

We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
