A fantastic opportunity for our Dubbo Rescue Squad members to undertake specialised Tesla electric-vehicle training, gaining valuable knowledge to help our crews respond safely to incidents involving EVs.

A huge thank you to Simon from Tesla’s Fire Operations & Emergency Response Team for making the trip to Dubbo and sharing his expertise with our volunteers.

Proud to continue building the skills and capability of our local rescue crews. 💚

As electric vehicles become increasingly common on NSW roads, our rescue crews need to be prepared for the unique challenges they can present.

Members from Dubbo Rescue Squad - VRA Rescue NSW recently undertook specialised Tesla electric vehicle training, developing their knowledge around Tesla-specific high-voltage systems, vehicle isolation, battery hazards and safe rescue considerations.

This training provided members with valuable insight and an opportunity to better understand the technology they may encounter during road crash rescue incidents.

Ongoing training like this ensures VRA Rescue NSW volunteers continue to adapt alongside changing vehicle technology, helping our crews respond safely and effectively when our communities need them.

A special thank you to Simon from Tesla’s Fire Operations & Emergency Response Team, who travelled a considerable distance to Dubbo to share his expertise and deliver this exceptional training to our volunteers.

This afternoon, our volunteers from Dubbo Rescue Squad - VRA Rescue NSW were pleased to assist Hudson Circus with the pack down following their time in Dubbo.

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who gave up their time to lend a hand. Your willingness to support our community, no matter the task, is what volunteering is all about.

We’re incredibly proud to be part of this exciting new aerial rescue trial, helping strengthen emergency response across remote western NSW.

Congratulations to our Dubbo members who are involved in this specialised capability. The enthusiasm around this new capability has been fantastic, and we’re excited to be part of such an innovative partnership with the NSW Rural Fire Service, NSW State Emergency Service and NSW Police Force.

This is another great step forward in delivering faster, safer rescue services to our communities.

A huge thank you to Benabilla Auctions for their generous donation in support of the Dubbo VRA Rescue NSW Heavy Rescue Project.

Community support like this plays a vital role in helping us equip our new Heavy Rescue Truck with the specialised rescue equipment needed to respond to serious road crashes, heavy vehicle incidents, industrial incidents, vertical rescues and large animal rescues across our region.

As a volunteer emergency service, we rely heavily on the generosity of local businesses and community organisations, and we are incredibly grateful for Benabilla Auctions’ contribution towards improving frontline rescue capabilities for the people of Dubbo and surrounding communities.
