A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO DONNA, DEBRA & TONI

Sisters Donna, Debra and Toni (Toni not pictured) have very generously donated a beautiful collection of their mother Margaret’s household items to Orana Support Service Wellington OP Shop.

Margaret lived an incredible 100 and a half years, and following her passing, her daughters made the thoughtful decision to donate many of her treasured household belongings.

We know that parting with a loved one’s belongings can hold so many memories, which makes this generous gesture even more meaningful.

On behalf of everyone at Orana Support Service, we would like to sincerely thank Donna, Debra and Toni for thinking of us and for choosing to honour their mum through such a kind donation.

Margaret’s belongings will continue their journey, bringing practical support and joy to others.

Thank you, ladies, for your kindness and generosity — and for sharing a little part of Margaret’s remarkable 100-and-a-half-year story with our community.

Meet the wonderful Lucy, who lovingly handcrafts and regularly donates beautiful knitted scarves, beanies and handmade bags to Orana Support Service, Wellington OP Shop.

For Lucy, every piece she creates is about so much more than knitting. It’s her way of giving back to the community.

There is also a very special meaning behind every stitch.

Lucy’s mum taught her how to knit, and through her beautiful creations, Lucy continues to honour her mother’s memory while sharing that love and kindness with others.

What a beautiful legacy — a skill passed from mother to daughter, now bringing warmth, comfort and joy to people in our community.

Thank you, Lucy, for your generosity, your kindness and the many hours you spend creating these beautiful gifts for others. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do.
