The RSL and Schools Remember ANZAC Art Competition 2027 is open for entries!

Primary and secondary school students in NSW are encouraged to create a piece of art inspired by this year’s theme, which is The Power of Mateship.

This theme focuses on one of the most meaningful parts of the ANZAC Spirit - looking out for others, standing together, and showing kindness in difficult times.

Share this post with your family, friends, and the young artists in your life to encourage them to get creative and pay tribute to Australia’s servicemen and women.

The RSL and Schools Remember ANZAC Art Competition is a collaboration between the NSW Department of Education, Catholic Schools NSW, and Independent Schools NSW.

🇦🇺 Canberra Trip 2026 🇦🇺

We’re hitting the road!

Our Sub-Branch is planning a trip to Canberra from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th October 2026, with the possibility of departing earlier on Thursday 15th October depending on final arrangements.

During the trip we will:

• Attend the Afternoon Service at the Australian War Memorial
• Walk through the memorial and exhibitions
• Potentially visit Parliament House
• Hopefully meet with our Federal MP, Jamie Chaffey

Accommodation will be at the Pavilion on Northbourne, Canberra.

🚌 Transport will be provided, with more details to come depending on numbers.

The Sub-Branch will cover accommodation costs for Dubbo Sub Branch veterans only. Unfortunately, accommodation for partners and family members will not be covered,

Please bring your own spending money for meals, drinks, and other expenses.

If you’re interested in attending, please let us know at the next Sub-Branch meeting on 26/06/2026.
