A True ANZAC Day of Service and Love

Today was a public holiday, but our regular and new volunteers still gave their time to serve the community.

Some people were busy working and earning extra public holiday rates, and that is okay. But our volunteers chose to spend their day serving First Nations people and Territorians with love and respect.

A very special thank you to our new volunteer Vanessa Kaewtoon. She has an 18-month-old child at home, but she still came with us to Batchelor to serve food for flood-affected people. We thank her from the bottom of our hearts for her passion to serve First Nations people and Territorians.

Thank you also to the young couple Rewaj Dangal and Anjana Sharma. They also came with us to Batchelor to serve flood-affected people. They donated $150, used their own car, and paid for their own fuel. Sometimes people say temporary visa holders do not care about First Nations people or Australians, but this is a beautiful example that kindness has no visa status. Good people are everywhere.

Today, we celebrated ANZAC Day with First Nations people and Australians. I believe this is a true way to honour ANZAC Day β€” through service, respect, and unity.

Some sweet memories from today’s food run.

A big thank you to Paul Burgess for baking a special cake. Everyone loved your cake. We truly appreciate your kindness. πŸ™β€οΈ

Thank you, dear Territorians and Australians, for your kindness, advice, and ongoing support.

We will continue serving the Batchelor flood-affected community until the end of May. If we are not allowed inside, we will still serve at the front gate with love and respect. From now on, we will go there on Saturdays only.

A special thank you to Paul Burgess and his family for providing a beautiful cake free of cost. The kids really love it. Even on public holidays, we will still be there to serve.

I work very hard to earn money, and we travel nearly 100 kilometres one way just to serve food because we truly love and respect the people we help. I understand how difficult life can be when someone does not have a home of their own.

We go only two times a week and try to support everyone. At the same time, we do not want to affect anyone’s business.

Our full food run takes around 2.5 hours, including packing and travel time. We also make sure to maintain proper food temperature and follow food safety checks.

This is only possible because of my love for our Territorians. I give my own time, money, and energy to do this work. We have no paid staff, no waste, no rental property, and no government support.

A special thank you to Paul Burgess and his family for providing freshly baked cakes completely free of cost.

Thank you also to Fiona for kindly supporting us with fruit and vegetables.

We made a special appeal for donations to provide special meals for flood and cyclone-affected communities. A heartfelt thank you to all donors, including many kind supporters from across Australia.

Some donors have never met me in person, but they still trusted and supported this work. I truly value that trust. I am only human and may make mistakes, but we always try our best to work with honesty, transparency, and sincerity.

We do not accept cash donations. Our charity has zero paid employees, zero waste, zero government support, and no rental property. Every donation goes directly to supporting First Nations people and all Territorians β€” beyond race, colour, or politics.

Our charity is 100% tax deductible. If anyone would like a receipt, please send your bank transfer proof. I work mostly as a one-man army, so I stay very busy, but I remain fully committed to serving with love and respect.

At this stage, we plan to continue providing free meals for Batchelor flood-affected communities until we have gotten enough funds minimum two time a week .

A sincere thank you to all our donors and regular supporters. Some support us weekly, some monthly, and some yearly. This charity work would not be possible without them.

Some people have shared concerns that we don’t mix with the wider Australian community. I would like to kindly say that my team and I always put all Territorians first in everything we do. πŸ’›

Sometimes, people from the Indian community also ask why I don’t focus back on India. I have explained this many times in media interviews β€” India is my past, but Australia is my present and future. My family and my life are here, and I am fully committed to serving Australia with all my heart.

We respect and celebrate all Australian cultures and festivals. Recently, we celebrated Easter with our Northern suburbs friends and families, and it created some very sweet memories together. πŸ’›

One man army β€” no excuses. Distance, lack of volunteers, or rising fuel costs will not stop us.

We are here to show love and respect to all Territorians. πŸ’›

Due to floods and cyclones, we are prioritising affected communities. Some families are still evacuated in Batchelor, and we continue serving them twice a week (Wednesday & Saturday).

Apologies to our Northern suburbs community β€” free food is still available, but limited.

28/03/2026

Today was a very hot day, and it was my first free food run to Batchelor to support the flood-affected evacuated community.

On the way, I met our local Member, Brian O’Gallagher (Deputy Speaker), at the fuel station. He kindly donated fuel for our journey from Darwin to Batchelor β€” truly appreciated. πŸ™

When we arrived in Batchelor, everyone was very happy to see us. We served nearly 200 meals to residents, staff, and volunteers, all with love and respect. πŸ’›

On our way back, we came across a car that had broken down. We stopped to help by providing free meals, drinking water, and even some water for their car. We also met a group visiting for a filming festival, shared water with them, and took a few photos for sweet memories.

As always, we followed our zero-waste approach, and any leftover food was distributed in the Karama area.

Batchelor is about a 200 km round trip from my home, and we plan to continue serving the flood-affected community there twice a week.

If you would like to give back to the community, any contribution β€” big or small β€” is truly appreciated.

Due to the recent cyclone and flood response, our costs have increased, so any extra support means a lot.
