Shared Humanity. Practical Impact. Tax-Deductible Giving.

The Integrated Help and Opportunities for Peaceful Existence-iHOPE Inc is proud to be endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) charity in Australia.

What does this mean for you?

It means that donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible, allowing supporters to give generously while receiving a financial benefit at tax time. Your contribution not only restores Hope, strengthens Dignity and promotes Self-reliance — it also reduces your taxable income in accordance with Australian law.

As we gather as South Sudanese in Canberra to talk about Breaking Barriers and Building Dreams, we are also coming together with a clear purpose:

This is not just conversation — it is commitment.
It is community in action.
It is shared responsibility turning into real opportunity.
On 21 March 2026, we will unite not only in vision, but in generosity.

Breaking barriers starts with us.
Building dreams continues with you.

Shared Humanity: Standing Together for Education and Wellbeing

At the heart of iHOPE Inc is a simple but powerful belief — our shared humanity binds us together. When one child is denied education, when one family struggles without support, or when one community faces barriers to opportunity, we all feel the impact. And when we act together, we all rise together.

As an education supporter, social and wellbeing advocate, and public benevolent organisation, iHOPE Inc is committed to restoring Hope, strengthening Dignity and promoting Self-reliance. We work alongside communities to expand access to education, support social wellbeing, and create pathways for long-term empowerment.

Shared humanity means recognising that opportunity should not be determined by circumstance. It means choosing compassion over indifference and action over silence. It means understanding that investing in education is investing in people — and investing in people transforms communities.

We invite you to stand with iHOPE Inc. Together, we can break barriers, build dreams, and create a future where every child has the chance to learn, grow and thrive.

Community Power: Breaking Barriers, Building Dreams

Community power is more than a slogan — it is the foundation of lasting change. When we invest in education, we do more than open classroom doors; we remove the barriers that keep potential out of reach. Education builds confidence, restores dignity and creates pathways to self-reliance.

Real change begins when ordinary people choose to do something extraordinary together. That is the spirit driving iHOPE Inc. With your support, we are working to expand access to education and create opportunities that empower children, families and communities to thrive.

This is why we are encouraging the people of Canberra, ACT to join us on 21 March 2026 for our fundraising event. Together, we can restore Hope, strengthen Dignity and promote Self-reliance through practical, community-led action.

Breaking barriers starts with us.
Building dreams continues with you.

On Friday, Mr Deng Bul, the CEO and Charity Manager of IHOPE Inc visited the Barkly Regional Council.

The integrated Help and Opportunities for Peaceful Existence (iHOPE) Inc. provides aid to children from financially disadvantaged families including Australian families, South Sudanese civil war orphans, widows and the disabled in need.

Deng has walked from Darwin to Tennant Creek as part of the Walk In Honour charity walk raising money for disadvantaged children. He visited our office to see if Council would sponsor their purpose. A humble and quiet man who asked for nothing more than food and water to aid their groups walk to Alice Springs.

The Barkly Regional Council contributed a small donation of $200.00 to the organisation by purchase order to IGA from Youthlinks.

They were very thankful and Deng will return at some stage to talk to the children at Youthlinks about the importance and privilege it is to have an education.

For more information about iHOPE please visit www.ihope.org.au

We look forward to seeing Deng back in Tennant Creek soon.

To South Sudanese Australians in Canberra, ACT

Shared Humanity

Community is built not only by blood, but by shared history, shared struggle, and shared responsibility. To the South Sudanese community in Canberra, I write not merely as a relative to some of you, but as a brother, a friend, and a fellow traveller on a long and difficult journey. Over the years, Canberra has become more than a place of residence—it has become a place where friendships have been forged, trust has grown, and a sense of belonging has taken root.

Our shared story is one marked by resilience. Many of us carry memories of displacement, interrupted education, and the uncertainty of loved ones left behind. Yet here we are—standing, contributing, and raising families in safety. This did not happen by chance. It happened because others once stood with us, believed in us, and helped carry the load when it was heavy.

That same spirit of shared humanity is at the heart of iHOPE Incorporated. iHOPE exists to ensure that children and families back home are not forgotten—that education, dignity, and opportunity are not reserved only for the fortunate. Through practical support such as school fees, uniforms, learning materials, and wellbeing initiatives, iHOPE works to break the barriers that keep dreams out of reach.

On 21 March 2026, we will gather in Canberra for a fundraising event under the theme “Breaking Barriers, Building Dreams.” This is more than a fundraiser; it is a call to collective responsibility. It is an invitation to stand together and say that hope is not an abstract idea—it is something we actively build.

We look forward to sharing this load with you. Not because it is easy, but because it is right. When we lift one child, one family, or one community, we affirm our shared humanity and shape a future we can all be proud of.

Together, let us break barriers. Together, let us build dreams.
