The Australia-Latin America Business Council (ALABC) was pleased to host its Brisbane Annual Dinner 2026 at Customs House on Tuesday, 8 September.

The evening brought together ALABC members and guests, Latin American ambassadors and diplomatic representatives, government representatives, business leaders and other stakeholders committed to strengthening the relationship between Australia and Latin America.

We were honoured to welcome H.E. Máximo Gowland, Ambassador of Argentina and Dean of GRULAC, who delivered the opening remarks and highlighted the importance of continued engagement and cooperation between our regions.

We extend our sincere thanks to Prof. Professor Deborah Terry AC, Vice-Chancellor and President of The University of Queensland, for her welcome remarks, and to Prof. Doug Aitken, Director of the Centre for Environmental Responsibility in Mining at The University of Queensland, for the valuable insights in his address.
