97%. That is the chance an Australian child with cancer has of surviving a further five years, once they reach the five-year mark.

These numbers did not happen by chance. They happened because researchers asked bold questions, and because people chose to back them.

Behind every percentage point is a child who got to grow up.

30 June is the last day to make a tax-deductible donation to cancer research this financial year. Your gift backs the emerging researchers working on the questions we have not answered yet.

Six years blood cancer-free. $30,000 raised for cancer research. A Twitch community that shows up every Wednesday, week after week.

Jess Wyatt is an Australian Twitch Partner, variety streamer, and one of the most community-driven people in the Game on Cancer® family. She has turned her own experience with blood cancer into something that could change the future for others, one stream at a time.

“I know firsthand that research saves lives. Behind every breakthrough is a person who gets another chance, another birthday, another ordinary day that suddenly becomes priceless.”

"Reaching $30k feels like turning pain into purpose," she says. "Every dollar represents kindness, generosity, and people choosing hope."

We are beyond proud of everything Jess and her community have built together. Read her full story here: https://f.mtr.cool/gwyliobfhi

And if her journey has inspired you? Superhero Streamers® is still open for sign-ups and runs until the end of May. It is not too late to go live and stream for cancer research, just like Jess. 💜

Six years ago, we backed a bold idea. Today, it's published science.

When we co-funded A/Prof Laurence Cheung's research in 2019, he was asking a question that not many were paying attention to: what happens in the bone marrow environment around leukaemia cells in children with high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL)?

It was exactly the kind of question we exist to fund. Brave. Early-stage.

That research has now been published in HemaSphere, one of the world's leading haematology journals. And A/Prof Cheung put it best in his own words: "Research is a long journey."

It really is. And it's one that doesn't happen without people willing to invest in the idea before the idea is proven.

A/Prof Cheung, now Co-Head of the Leukaemia Translational Research Laboratory at The Kids Research Institute Australia, works on the kind of groundbreaking research that our donors make possible. His work focuses on improving outcomes for children with high-risk leukaemia, a group where survival rates can be as low as 40%.

This publication is a milestone years in the making, and it belongs to everyone who believed in it before they could see it. Including our incredible donor community.

This is what your support does. It doesn't just fund research. It gives brilliant researchers the runway to see it through.

Thank you for taking the leap with us.

This Women’s History Month, we’re recognising four incredible researchers advancing ovarian cancer and broader gynaecological research.

Despite decades of limited progress in survival rates, these scientists are driving change, backed early by Cure Cancer at pivotal moments in their careers.

🔬 Dr Jessica Holien (RMIT University) - Tackling treatment resistance
🔬 Professor Caroline Ford (UNSW, Ainsworth Endometriosis Research Institute (AERI) - From ovarian cancer breakthroughs to advancing endometriosis research
🔬 Dr Emily Colvin (University of Sydney) - Pioneering new treatment approaches
🔬 Professor Nikola Bowden (The University of Newcastle, Australia and Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) - Repurposing drugs for better outcomes

Supporting early-career researchers helps turn bold questions into life-changing discoveries.
