Seed Seed exists to help people discover their God-given purpose and live it in the world. The world is not as God intends it to be. It’s our passion.

Seed was launched in response to three problems and a God-given desire to do something about those problems.

1. Many Christians are frustrated that their faith feels disengaged from the world and disconnected from their life. We sense that a life following Jesus should make a difference in the world, but our current experience falls short of that expectation.

2. We see and experience brokenness,

injustice, oppression. We sense that Christians should be at the forefront of finding creative, innovative solutions to these problems, yet many lack the capital, networks or skills to respond.

3. The church is struggling to share good news about Jesus to an audience not ready to listen. We need to create opportunities to tell the gospel story by demonstrating its world- changing implications in the way we live. Within this context, Seed exists to help people discover their God-given purpose and live it in the world. This is what drives and motivates us. We believe that God's purpose always leads to an engaged life, where people embody the reality of the change that God has made in their lives, and where we seek the good of our societies. So we help people to be agents of change in society. We develop effective models for cultural change then help individuals, organisations and churches to apply them. Our Framework:

We take our partners and clients through a variety of tools and frameworks. In essence what we are trying to do is help people:

- Identify change that is congruent with God’s purposes.
- Create something that acts as a catalyst for the change we seek – it could be a product, a policy, a law, a piece of research, a program or a platform.
- Build a strategy around that catalyst that amplifies the change it creates. We're a community of people seeking to create a space where we can challenge and sharpen one another, imagine different possibilities and create some answers together. We would love you to join us.

"As I reflect on 2023, I’m tired of shiny things. I’m tired of shallow. I want substance. I want meaning."

JB shares with Eternity News on his word of the year for 2024, and on how we can create space to see the world as God sees it.

Take a moment with us to look back on your 2023 and reflect on what your word might be for the year ahead.

John Beckett's word of the year for 2024 is definitely not 'rizz'. He's tired of shiny and shallow; he wants something more substantial.

"The stories we inhabit inform our hearts’ deepest needs and longings. The very normal process of human development; the processes of establishing a unique sense of identity, purpose, meaning and hope, is a function of story. For good or for ill, we have become and are becoming people shaped by the narratives in which we dwell."

In this new blog post, Seed's Director of Programs and Consulting Jeff Nagle explores the challenge of embodying God's story in the midst of competing narratives, and realigning ourselves with the Image, Vision, and Mission of God.

How do we disrupt prevailing stories in the world with a better one?

Introducing the 'Re-imagining Discipleship' Series - a collection of insights and reflections from Seed's 2023 Summit.

In this first blog post, Seed's Global Development Lead Ant Sell wrestles with the challenge of sharing the Good News, and inviting those within our community who do not know, or share in God's story to participate. In his reflection, Ant tackles the question of what it means for our relationships with people who have yet to accept God into their lives. How might we embody a sacrificial posture toward them?

And that's a wrap for Seed Summit 2023!

At the end of November, 70 members of the Seed Community from across the country gathered to connect and re-imagine approaches to discipleship that make a tangible difference in our world.

For two intentional days, we sat down to design and explore questions around discipleship in today's context, broke bread together and shared powerful stories of God's impact in our community. We are so grateful for the rich conversations we were blessed with, and the knowledge that was shared by our participants.

Stay tuned to see some outcomes from our fruitful time together!
