Our public sector members have finally received a wages offer from the Allan government. Unsurprisingly, it's not an offer we can accept. This is an offer so bad they need to go back to the drawing board.

It seems we don’t have a choice. We need to escalate our protected industrial action and rally on the streets at a 24 hour stop work on June 16th.

Keep up the fight. Let’s get the wages, conditions, and respect we deserve. Union Power! ✊

This week VAHPA public sector members have been forced to begin protected industrial action
after more than 8 months of bargaining and not a single offer.

The vote to begin protected industrial action was an overwhelming yes with an average of 92.87% of members across 43 health services voted, with 98.73% supporting action. Fifteen health services recorded 100% turnout and 100% ‘YES’ votes.

Today marks the start of National Reconciliation Week. VAHPA stands in solidarity with First Nations people who have carried the weight of championing reconciliation for too long. This should not be solely their fight, but the responsibility of every Australian.
