Government representatives personally requested for a wage increase for the bosses to be fast tacked 3 years in advance- that means they are aware of the pressing cost of living crisis. This same compassion needs to be extended to frontline council workers who keep the system running- and the ASU will make sure that we don’t back down without a fight ✊

For many workers, this is a first. In a sector where people often move between employers, long service leave has traditionally been out of reach. Portable Long Service Leave changes that by allowing your entitlements to move with you across eligible community sector workplaces.
