We have received requests for 290 teens in care to receive a gift card this Christmas. ❤️

That’s the largest number we have ever had requested through our Christmas Appeal, and we would love our amazing community to help us make sure every young person receives a gift they can choose for themselves.

This Christmas, join us for a very special one-night-only performance in the magnificent surrounds of St George’s Cathedral, and help make a difference to young people experiencing homelessness across Western Australia.

Presented by The Sovereign Order of St John of Jerusalem Knights Hospitaller, St George’s Cathedral and THEATRE 180 “A Goldfields, Christmas CAROL” By Jenny Davis OAM, this wonderful Christmas charity production will raise funds for Operation Sunshine WA.

🎭 The story
It’s December 1895 in a tent camp near Coolgardie. Two prospectors, old Bill and young Tom, have had a good year thanks to Paddy Hannan. But while Bill believes there can never be enough gold, Tom’s fortunes change when he contracts typhoid fever and encounters nurse Bessie Wray, the “Angel of the Goldfields.” As Bessie reads him a beloved Christmas story by Charles Dickens, Tom begins to dream…

We are currently most in need of donations to our Teen Gift Card Appeal.

We are $3,500 short of our overall goal and currently have enough for 173 of the 290 gift cards needed for teens in care.

Any donation, big or small, will help us edge closer to providing a gift card to all 290 teens on our list this Christmas.

The 2026 Freo Running Festival is just around the corner, and we’re looking for some awesome volunteers to join the Operation Sunshine crew! 🙌

We’re thrilled to be partnering with the West Australian Marathon Club, and our team will be setting up and manning the drink stations to keep runners refreshed, hydrated and smiling as they take on the course💧🏃‍♂️
