The FIA Code is a self-regulatory regime that raises the fundraising sector’s profile and enhances credibility and reputation with donors, stakeholders, government and the community. It guides fundraisers to raise, manage, and distribute donors’ gifts in an ethical and accountable way. The last week of February 2026 was all about the Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA) National Conference 2026 in Melbourne, where the theme “Impact Amplified” came to life through three days of powerful ideas, bold conversations and inspiring leadership from across the fundraising sector.
The conference brought together fundraisers from Australia, New Zealand and beyond to explore how we can amplify our impact through stronger partnerships, smarter strategies, innovation and creative thinking — all in service of the communities and causes we support. From thought-provoking keynotes to practical sessions and meaningful connections with peers across the sector, the experience was energising and deeply motivating.
We’re excited to bring these insights back to the ACT fundraising community and continue strengthening our sector through collaboration, learning and shared purpose.
A big thank you to Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA) Australia for delivering another outstanding conference.

🌟 Introducing FIA ACT’s new Chair – Renee Dixon MFIA 🌟

We’re thrilled to welcome Renee into the role of Chair for 2026!

With a passion for connecting generous people with causes that matter, Renee brings extensive experience leading diverse fundraising teams since 2019. A proud generalist, she thrives on the variety and heart of the for-purpose sector — and is deeply committed to seeing both donors and the communities we serve flourish.

Renee is excited to lead the FIA ACT Committee as we strengthen connections, support one another, and grow the impact of fundraising across Canberra and beyond.

This year, we’re looking forward to meeting more of our members — and inviting others to join our growing community. We can’t wait to see you at an event soon!
